Before Jake came along, I was a jigsaw puzzle addict. For as long as I can remember, I’ve always had one going on. I used to do them on a huge cork board so I could move it around when we actually needed the table for something else, like eating. After Jake was born, I didn’t have as much time for the massive puzzles, and then I worried that he would eat the pieces, then that he would lose the pieces. So I stopped doing them for myself. When he was three, we started doing the smaller ones made for kids together, so I still get my fix in smaller doses. So of course I jumped at the chance to review a Piczzle Picture puzzle, a customized jigsaw puzzle service that allows you to pick your own theme and text to go with your picture.
I choose one of Jake and I, and customized it with “I love you to Jupiter and back,” which is our thing (because Jupiter is further than the moon, of course). The process is really simple- you just pick your size (up to 3,000 pieces) and the style you like best, add your picture, add your text, add to basket and complete the checkout process. The longest part of the whole process is deciding which picture to use. My puzzle arrived pretty quickly in a cute little box with the picture on the front. I opted for the 24-piece puzzle because Jake isn’t really patient enough to do 100-piece ones yet. I was really happy with how cute it turned out. I know my picture doesn’t do it justice, I really need a better camera (and, of course, the ability to use said better camera).
