I am a big fan of wit. I think it’s the smartest form of humor when done correctly. I also like witty shirts, and Headline Shirts offers a ton of those. When I was contacted about doing a review, it took me a good twenty minutes to choose between shirts because there were so many I liked. I finally settled on the “Legalize Reason” shirt because it spoke to me. Seriously, it said “pick me, pick me!” I won’t get into my political or philosophical reasons for choosing the shirt, aside from to say that the statement just makes sense to me. I tried to take a picture of myself wearing it, but unless you want to see my messy bathroom in the background, that didn’t work out too well. (I’m totally lying here, by the way. I didn’t even try. I’m too self-conscious about my lack of skinniness at this point).
My shirt arrived extremely quickly, like two days after I ordered it. It came in one of the coolest packages I’ve received yet (look to your right, you can’t miss it.) In case you can’t see it in the picture, the bag is 100% biodegradable, so you can throw it in your compost heap. You have to love a witty and socially responsible company! My Headline Shirts t-shirt is awesome. It’s so soft and comfortable, not at all heavy or scratchy like some t-shirts can be. I’m really picky about fabrics, and they clearly use high quality t-shirts to start with. I went with the women’s style because, well, I’m a girl and it seemed like a good idea. It’s more fitted than a guy’s shirt.
Headline Shirts makes tons of really funny, witty, or just plain bizarre shirts. Here are a few of my favorites:
Like I said, I had a hard time deciding which to get. I love the Squirrels (x3) shirt because it’s just so random, and the Catwork Orange shirt is great too. I was also going to get the Northpole shirt, especially since my seasonal job is working with Santa Claus. There are a few shirts that may be deemed “offensive” by some (one or two have “bad” words on them), but Headline Shirts really does have a great selection and I think just about anyone would be able to find something they like.
