This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of LG DoublePlay™ for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
The LG DoublePlay™, a T-Mobile exclusive, makes it easier for you to keep up with your social networking and texting demands throughout the day. It comes with not one, but two customizable touch screens that can work independently or together. Plus, to make typing a lot easier, it features a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard and Swype® for easy text input. I really need a phone with a QWERTY keyboard, I am horrible at texting on a number pad. It literally takes me like 10 minutes to type out a single, relatively short text. Part of the problem is that, as a writer, I am too neurotic about grammar to use “text speak,” and I still can’t figure out how to capitalize names or add proper punctuation.
With the dual screens, you could check your email on one and your Facebook stream on the other. The LG DoublePlay also comes with a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and 720p HD video recorder, so you can record great video of your kids being their awesome, silly selves, and upload it right to Facebook from your phone. If chatting or texting with groups of people is important to you, the phone offers several options, including Cloud Text and Group Text. The LG DoublePlay also features Android™ 2.3 (Gingerbread) with access to Android Market and lets you completely customize your home screens and up to nine touch-screen shortcuts.
A phone like this would really help someone like me who really doesn’t do much on her phone yet. I would if I had all these features, but right now I have a very basic phone and it doesn’t exactly scream “social network friendly!” When I work outside the home during the holidays, I constantly worry that I’m missing something important. I even call my mom and make her check to ensure that Pretty Opinionated is still up and running. Yes, I know that borders on obsessive, but my site is also part of my business, so I worry. I would love to be able to check in on it during lunch, and maybe catch up with the Facebook groups that I belong to throughout the day.
Just out of curiosity, how many hours a month do you think you spend checking into social networks through your phone? Do you send a lot of text messages every month? How do you think the LG DoublePlay would enhance your ability to interact with social networks? I’d love to hear your answers!
