International Delight's Iced Coffee National Coffee Day PartySaturday, September 29th was International Coffee Day. You know I was all over that holiday! Of course, to me, any day is coffee day, but I’m glad my favorite beverage has its own special day to celebrate its sheer goodness. That day also happened to be the birthday party for Sal’s daughter, who turned 13 a week earlier. Since he has a big Italian family, and even had relatives visiting from Germany, we thought it would be a great time to include the party for International Delight’s Iced Coffee. His whole family is big on coffee, so I knew they would be the perfect taste testers.

Taste Testing International Delights Iced Coffee

I received two coupons for free International Delight’s Iced Coffee. We were in a major rush the morning of the party. The grocery store that I went to only had original in stock, and I didn’t have time to run to another, so that’s what we went with. I can tell you though, I’ve tried the Mocha flavor in the past and it rocks. I wish I could have gotten some for the party.

Sal set up the photo for the Original International Delight’s Iced Coffee. After seeing what he can do, I think I’m going to have him stage all my photos from here on out! I have to take this moment to say how very lucky I am to have such a supportive and awesome boyfriend. He really got into the whole thing!

After he arranged everything so beautifully, we handed out samples of the Iced Coffee. Sal’s lovely daughter snagged the first cup. It was her party, after all!

The Verdict on International Delight’s Iced Coffee

Honesty is important, so I’ll tell you right now, a few taste testers felt that the coffee wasn’t sweet enough. Sal’s sister-in-law thought that it would make a great base to add other ingredients too, and I think that’s a really good idea. His sister Maria and brother-in-law Jimmy both thought it was good as is though. Personally, I think it’s just sweet enough, although I wouldn’t complain if it was a little sweeter either. As picky as I am with most foods, I’m not so much when it comes to coffee. Again, I really wish I could have found the Mocha, because I think the birthday girl would have loved that flavor.

Still, overall the International Delights Iced Coffee was a success. I thought it was so wonderful of them to send us extra goodies for the party. We used the banner to make a sign for Sal’s daughter, and the crazy straws went to the kids. For more information and recipes please visit the International Delight’s Iced Coffee Facebook page.
