I have a fascination with apartment and house hunting. If ind it relaxing to go online and look for my dream place. I also like imagining what it would be like to be a millionaire, with apartments in cities all over the country. Hey, it could happen! Exploring the listings on apartments.com is a great way to see what’s out there, both in my reaistic budget and my dream budget.

One of the places I’d like to live (both in my real world and fantasy world) is Frederick, Maryland. My little brother and his wife live there, and they’re planning to start a family soon. I’d love to be closer to them so I can regularly see my future neice or nephew, thus satisfying my urge to snuggle a new baby without actually having to go through the whole diaper-changing, 2am feeding thing again myself.

Searching on apartments.com is so easy. From the very first page, all you have to do is enter your desired city or zip code. I didn’t even need to type out the whole name! All I did was input “Fred” and the city I needed appeared on the drop-down menu. The results returned 40 listings for me to peruse.

I sorted by price- low to high- to find an apartment in my real-world budget, and was pleasantly surprised to find that there are quite a few in my price range. I like that I can rule out the listings by looking at pictures. I want something with a little charm to it rather than a cookie-cutter complex. Clicking on one that I think is pretty cute takes me to a great info page filled with pictures, floor plans, and 360 degree views. While pictures are very helpful, my favorite feature is the floorplans, because it allows me to really see how everything would fit in the apartment. I love the list of amenities and property features too, it’s nice to see what benefits I’ll be getting if I choose a particular complex.

Searching with apartments.com is a real pleasure. It’s straightforward, easy to navigate, and the site loads quickly so I don’t waste precious minutes of my life waiting for things to load. Apartments.com also has a mobile app for both Apple and Android devices, so you can search on the go. Use them for your next apartment search- whether it’s for a real-life move or just for playing “if I had a million dollars.” Follow apartments.com on Twitter to receive updates, apartment-hunting tips and news.
