I received delicious Nature’s Own products in exchange for an honest review. As always, my opinions are my own.

We are officially in the back to school count down phase here in the Poconos! For the first time since he started kindergarten, Jake is actually going back after Labor Day instead of the week before. I guess they finally figured out just how goofy it was to send kids back on Tuesday before, let them go for three days, then have four days off. So that means I still have two weeks to get ready! Thank goodness, because, um, I haven’t even started back to school shopping yet!

Finding good, wholesome breakfast ideas is high on my list of things to do before the big day. Jake really isn’t a huge breakfast eater (he takes after me, although we both love breakfast food, just not in the morning), so it’s really important to find something light, quick and portable.  Nature’s Own just made that a little easier for me!

Nature’s Own Oatmeal Toasters: A Perfect Wholesome Breakfast Choice

Both Jake and I are big fans of things that come out of the toaster. I personally think toasters are the best thing since sliced bread. Get it? HA! I’m a riot, right? Just nod and agree.  Alas, most of the toasted things we like aren’t exactly high on the good nutrition list. The majority of them contain some sort of gooey ingredient. Or chocolate. Then we tried Nature’s Own  Orange Cranberry Oatmeal Toasters. Soooo good!

These yummy Toasters are made with natural ingredients, including whole grains, cranberry bits and orange peel for flavoring. They are fantastic! I didn’t even know I liked cranberries until I tried these! I mean, I’ve had them in juice before, but I can’t recall ever trying them in a bread. The oatmeal taste combines beautifully with the cranberries and the orange zest. I couldn’t stop eating them!

Delicious Whole Grain Bread Makes Amazing Whole Grain Toast

Nature's Own Whole Grain Bread

We also tried out Nature’s Own 100% Whole Grain Bread. I am not exaggerating when I say this is the best whole grain bread I’ve ever tasted. I don’t know if it’s the way they make it or if it has something to do with the thick slices, but it was delightful. Jacob is really picky about textures, and even he loved it. In fact, he liked it just toasted with nothing on it, along side his apple slices and olives (yes, I know that’s a weird combination, he’s a weird kid, just like his mama!).

About Nature’s Own Breads

Nature’s Own began in 1977, making it just two years younger than me. The mission back then was the same as it is now- to provide wholesome, delicious bread products made with the best ingredients that nature has to offer. Nearly all of their products are free of artificial colorings, flavors or preservatives. You won’t find trans fats or high fructose corn syrup in their breads either. What you will find is plenty of whole grains, fiber and Omega-3s, depending on which yummy product you try.

I love that Nature’s Own makes it easy to ensure Jacob has something healthy before he heads out the door to school! Check out the Nature’s Own website to find tons of great recipes and learn more about their products.

Connect with Nature’s Own on Twitter and Facebook. I love their Facebook page, it has so many awesome recipes!
