In case you didn’t hear the good news, my brother and sister-in-law gave birth to my gorgeous niece, Abigail, on Christmas Day. I am so completely in awe of just how gorgeous she is. A perfect little bundle of sweetness! Ryan and Jennie have had their hands full though! In addition to having a new baby, my brother and his associate just started their own law firm, Beckman Schmalzle. Talk about overwhelming! After I had my son, I could barely get out of bed most days let alone launch a whole law firm. I’m super proud of him. He’s an amazing dad and lawyer. Plus he’s a pretty great little brother too!
The Sweetest Little Game Face in the World
My brother is quite the sports fan. In fact, Abigail watched her first football game the day after she came home from the hospital. Since then, we’ve seen quite a few of Abigail’s sweet “game faces!” It’s so hard to choose a favorite. I mean, every single picture of her is just perfect in every way. She is my niece, after all! I love this picture of her because she looks so happy.
Isn’t she cute? Don’t you just love her?? I want to put her in my pocket and bring her home with me! I think Ryan and Jennie would notice she was missing though. I can’t wait to go see her again!
Since my son is out of diapers (believe me, that was quite a task!), I sent along the Pampers package to Ryan and Jennie to use for Abbie. Pampers was always one of my favorite diaper brands when little man was still using them. They are designed to fit active babies, so you don’t have to worry about chaos ensuing from leaky diapers. Plus they never leaked on me during the night. My son was so difficult to get to sleep, I really didn’t want to have to wake him to change him! My brother says Abbie can be a bit of a challenge to get to sleep too, so I know he feels the same way. Funny story about my brother (I hope he doesn’t mind me sharing), when he changed Abbie in the hospital after she was born, he didn’t quite put it on tight enough. As you can imagine, the result was quite messy. Ryan has become a master of the diaper since then.
