Create a stunning, professional media kit in as little as ten minutes with Hip Media Kits templates!

Pretty Opinionated turned four years old this year. Four years old! That’s a preschooler! If my site was a child, next year she’d be heading off to kindergarten. Yes, she. I’m a boy mom, so my site gets to be my girl child. In those four years, I’ve made like twenty media kits but never really loved any of them. I’m a writer, not a graphic designer. Some were so-so, but so-so doesn’t really stand out in a world where like a million new blogs pop up a day.

The thing is, I don’t have time to sit around for six hours trying to make my own media kit. If I had time, maybe I could come up with a design I loved. I’m a single mom who already works like ten hours a day. I can’t squeeze any more minutes out of my schedule to tackle a project that I’m not even passionate about. That’s why I was super incredibly happy to find  Hip Media Kits!

Create Stunning Media Kits in Minutes with Hip Media Kits

Hip Media Kits offers a variety of different Word-based media kit templates. All you have to do is buy your favorite, download it, fill in your info and save it as either a Word doc (for future editing) or a PDF file for sharing.  If you want to get fancy, you can switch the colors a bit, maybe change a font to make it more your own. Honestly, though, you don’t HAVE to do any of those things. They already look pretty awesome as is.

I bought the Elle Media Kit about a month ago. It was a classy gold number with three pages of information. It was super easy to change the colors to match my site a bit better. I was also able to alter any sections that I wanted to change a bit. It took me about an hour to put it together. The ONLY reason it took that long was because I couldn’t decide what to say in my about section. I’m horrible at those!

Now that I have my info all ready to go, though, I can easily switch up my media kit any time I want. Since I now have all the Hip Media Kits (which, by the way, you can buy in a bundle pack for just $87.46), I decided I wanted to create a shorter one for potential partners that ask for a one-pager. Not everyone has time to read through three pages of information!

The Turner Media Kit template was the PERFECT choice because it comes in several different colors, including a blue that was a pretty close match for my own blue theme. I copied and pasted the info from my other media kit, made a few tweaks to the sizing, added my own images and voila! Ten minutes, tops to a flawless media kit. The picture at the top of this page shows my final version. You can also check it out here in all its PDF glory.

Takes the guess work out of deciding what to include

The first time I made a media kit, I had the hardest time figuring out what to include. Since Hip Media Kits are pretty much “fill in the blanks,” you don’t have to guess. Of course, there are times when you don’t want to include a certain item. Don’t have a ton of Pinterest followers? Delete that item from your media kit.  Haven’t worked with any brands yet? Change that section to “posts you’ll love” or something and include images from those. Since they’re created in Word, Hip Media Kits are very easy to customize. Thank goodness, because I noticed like five different typos that I made when I was checking over the PDF copy I shared above!

I looked at a lot of media kit templates before I purchased one from Hip Media Kits. Very few are created with Word. Just about every other kit I looked at required Photoshop and the ability to use it. Hip Media Kits aren’t just better looking, they’re so much easier to work with. I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who wants a professional media kit without spending hours or a fortune creating one. Remember, I was a customer before becoming an affiliate!

Aside from the two mentioned in this review, Hip Media Kits also has three other styles, each with different color schemes. When you buy a kit, you’re getting all the colors in it. Each kit retails for $24.99. Worth every last penny! Head over to Hip Media Kits and check out all the spectacular options.

Which of the Hip Media Kits is your favorite? Do you think I should change anything in my About section on mine? I’m open to advice!
