When asked if I wanted to review the new Zee Alexis Cloud Woven Sneakers, I was super intrigued about the idea of a woven sneaker. At first, I was picturing straw sneakers! Hey, my experience with weaving is, well, limited. I immediately thought of basket weaving. The Zee Alexis Cloud Sneakers are NOT made of straw. They are, however, made of super comfy bands that make walking a dream! Plus, they’re super fashionable for summer! Let’s check out these most unique sneakers ever, shall we?

Zee Alexis Woven Cloud Sneakers

The first thing that drew me to Zee Alexis Cloud Sneakers were all the fun colors. I have a great pair of sneakers that I love right now, but they’re a little heavy for summer. I wanted something a little more vibrant that wouldn’t make my feet hot but still gave me support. I do a lot of walking and standing outdoors during the summer. With a bad back, I need something that can handle long days on my feet without making me want to cry by the end of the day. That’s a lot to ask of a summer shoe, right? Cute, comfortable, supportive and not too smothering.

Zee Alexis Cloud Sneakers really do fit all those needs. Let’s talk comfort, because you can clearly see how incredibly cute they are, right? In fact, let’s talk about the whole “woven” part, because it’s what makes them the neatest sneakers on the block. As I said, it’s NOT basket weaving. Zee Cloud Woven Sneakers are actually memory stretch elastics that are HAND-WOVEN one by one and anchored to the sole of the shoe so they keep their shape.

The result: a super comfy upper part of the shoe that embraces your foot like a best friend you didn’t know you had. Because of the elastic, there is no “break in” time with these shoes. They are comfortable right out of the box, so you don’t have to walk around your house in them for days before you actually wear them out and about.

The inside of the shoe features memory foam taken to a whole new level. It’s called Active Response Technology™. Zee Alexis combines Real Memory Foam with Foam Injection Technology to create a sneaker that cushions your foot while also allowing it to breathe. Add in their SoleFlex™ Technology and you have a sneaker that bends and flexes with your foot to make you feel like you’re walking on a cloud. Hence the name, Cloud Sneakers.

Every Zee Alexis shoe design has to pass three different tests to make sure that it’s as awesome as humanely possible. These include a shape retention test, a sole adhesion test and a flex test. They’re all pretty much what they sound like, testing to make sure the sneakers hold their shape, move properly and don’t fall apart.

I love my Zee Alexis Cloud Sneakers. They really do feel cloud-like. Plus, they’re not bulky, so they’re easy to stash in your day bag for transitioning from the beach to an evening outdoors. I wore them for close to a month before writing this review because I wanted to make sure they held up well to all my activities, and they do.

While I love the pretty purple colors, if that’s not your thing, they do come in other great colors. If colorful sneakers aren’t your thing, Zee Alexis has other sneakers in more neutral shades. Check out their Danielle collection for basic blacks and bronze colors, for example. They also have tons of nifty sandals and flats. You can even find heels and boots!
