Meaningful Beauty Review: First Impressions

As many of you know, this year marked the year I hit the big 4-0. I have to admit, I was really proud of myself for not completely freaking out. Age is relative. I don’t really feel 40. Mentally, I don’t feel any different than I did in my 20s. Sure, I’m a bit wiser and all. I read like a fiend, so I’ve definitely amassed a larger collection of random facts in this little head of mine. Body-wise, I have more aches and pains. Then again, I’ve had back problems since I was 13, so even those aren’t new.

One thing I have noticed changing over the recent year? My skin. The changes are subtle, not as noticeable to others as to me. I’ve always had good skin. No matter what else was going on with my body, I could relax knowing at least my skin was in great shape. Lately, though, it’s been so dry. Not just “oh, yeah, my skin gets dry in the winter too,” dry, but “Sahara desert” dry. My skin looks duller too, and not as even. The weird part? It’s only on one side of my face. The right side. The left is still pretty fantabulous. What’s the deal with that? Maybe it has to do with blood flow? Or the side I sleep on the most? In any case, I need to really get more serious about my skin care regimen, because the right overtakes the left!

Get Cindy Crawford’s Secrets to Great Skin with Meaningful Beauty

Who better to help us achieve great skin than someone who has mastered it herself? Cindy Crawford is just about 9 years older than me and she still looks amazing. She shares her secret to protecting and renewing skin with the Meaningful Beauty skincare line. I just received my package right around the holidays and got started on trying it out. In a little bit, I’ll share my final thoughts with you on how well it works, but for now, check out my first impressions!

First, a little about the Meaningful Beauty line. The system is designed to deliver powerful antioxidants, vitamins and marine extracts to your skin. Together, these ingredients fight free radical damage, enhance your skin’s radiance, moisturize and firm your skin. If you use it as directed, the Meaningful Beauty formulas are designed to help smooth the appearance of those fine lines and wrinkles, brighten your complexion and preserve your skin’s existing vibrancy. The products will also help protect from environmental damage. All within about 4 weeks!

I love the simplicity of the packaging. It’s elegant and graceful, taking up only as much space as it needs to on your bathroom counter. I don’t like wasteful packaging. I have such little space in my bathroom as it is.

I also love that the package came with Cindy Crawford’s Daily Routine, for both morning and night. The routine comes on waterproof paper, so you can take it in the bathroom with you (although I don’t think I’d take it in the shower!). My favorite part of the routine is when I get to pop open these pretty Wrinkle Smoothing Capsules!

Meaningful Beauty Review: First Impressions

Hey, who said skin care couldn’t be entertaining? At night time, I love when it’s time to use the Creme de Serum, because it’s just so pretty!

Meaningful Beauty Review: First Impressions

Of course, it’s not just pretty to look at, it actually combine the power of a serum with the moisturizing effects of a cream. You have to admit, though, it is pretty neat looking!

The Meaningful Beauty line isn’t heavily scented at all. I want to say that most of their products are actually unscented, but I can’t be 100% certain. To me, though, the majority of them have the light scent you’d expect from the ingredients within, kind of like how when you buy unscented lotion but it still has that faint lotion scent? Does that make sense? It’s definitely not overpowering. You’d have to really stick your nose up to it to notice it (which I did, so I can tell you what it smells like!).

As far as texture goes, everything glides on so smooth that you don’t have to use a ton to get full coverage. In fact, the first time I burst one of those little capsules, I thought “there’s no way this will cover my problem areas!” It really does, though! I’ll be using Meaningful Beauty over the next couple of weeks so I can tell you how it works longer term. I’m hoping to restore some elasticity and softness to my problem areas and get my overall tone a bit more evened out.
