If there’s one thing I love than the confidence boost I get from a great new shade of lipstick, it’s the feeling I get from knowing that my purchase is going towards helping in the fight against cancer. See, about a year ago, my aunt was diagnosed with brain cancer. Before that, fighting cancer was definitely something I felt strongly about. Now, though, it’s more than a passion, it’s a necessity.
My aunt’s diagnosis has made me a lot more conscious about buying products that support all types of cancer research. I’ve been a long-time fan of Estée Lauder because they’ve made it their mission to fight against breast cancer. In 1992, the late Evelyn H. Lauder founded the The Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Awareness (BCA) Campaign, launching the now-iconic Pink Ribbon. Since then, The BCA Campaign has raised over $58 million to support breast cancer research, medical services and education.

Did you know that February 4th, is World Cancer Day? In honor of the day, The Estée Lauder Companies’ BCA Campaign is unveiling a special interactive experience on BCAcampaign.com, driving a 24-hour donation effort, in continuation of this year’s theme, “Every Action Counts. What’s Yours?”
They’re asking for your help. How?
- Visit BCAcampaign.com on World Cancer Day (February 4th) and create a custom video or image of beautiful animations with inspiring words such as hope, strength and friendship, that will visually show support for all those touched by breast cancer
- Share your video or image on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter with #BCAstrength
For every custom video or image created on BCAcampaign.com and shared on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter with #BCAstrength on World Cancer Day, The Estée Lauder Companies will donate $24 to fund lifesaving breast cancer research through the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) with the goal of funding up to $24,000 in 24 hours. This is just one part of The BCA Campaign’s global fundraising efforts to raise $6 million in support of breast cancer research, education and medical services this year.
