9 Easy DIY Fairy Garden Ideas On The Cheap

Fairy Garden Ladder

Have you ever thought about making a little treehouse in your garden? Or maybe your colorful garden has multiple layers? Either way, you can recreate a beautiful rustic looking ladder with some twigs and some hot glue. Aren’t you clever now? I like to place a fairy near the ladder to make it look like she’s about to go inside!

It’s time to head to those garage sales and thrift shops for this next idea. This fairy garden is made all from green glassware and makes a beautiful emerald city from The Wizard of Oz! Amazing right? You could also use clear glassware stacked or hot glued to make a beautiful crystal city.

Fairy Tree

If you are even a smidge handy with crafts you can recreate these little fairy windows out of wood and a hot glue gun. The fairy doors I usually prefer to buy because they and are slightly more complicated to make, but the windows you can totally make. I would attach the windows with some small nails. Make sure to weather proof everything for this magical tree!

Fairy Teepee

I get it; it’s not easy being a fairy. You may just need a little rest, maybe a nap or a place to just curl up with a good book and unwind for a little bit. Make a cozy little retreat with a piece of scrap fabric and some twigs to make a sweet but trendy teepee. Your fairies will thank you as they rest their tired wings!

Upcycled Fairy Cottage

I love how this project uses almost all natural items and upcycled items. Check out this cool fairy cottage! I would think most somewhat crafty people have everything laying around their house except potpourri. You can totally choose to add potpourri, some flowers from the dollar store, or just use what your find in nature!

Sweet Woodland Creatures

Your fairies will likely love having some friends! Check out these adorable details you can add to your garden. The fun bunnies spoke to me, but any of these ideas add a little extra character to your garden. You can roll these fun creatures out of self-hardening clay. I prefer Fimo clay or Sculpey for a project like this, as they have lots of bright colors and it’s easy to work with. When you are finished making your creations, you simply bake them in the oven to set them.
