A few tips before we get to the wraps. First, if you want to cut back on carbs, you can use lettuce or a tortilla for the wrap. Second, you can swap out or eliminate different ingredients in these ideas to appease picky eaters. The best thing about a wrap is that there really are no rules! Here are some kid-friendly wraps to try.

Peanut Butter, Jelly, and Banana

5 Back to School Lunch Wrap Ideas Kids Will Actually Love

Just about every kid loves peanut butter sandwiches! My son prefers peanut butter and fluff, but my cousin lived on PB&J when he was little. Literally. He ate it at every meal. This wrap isn’t all that different from their favorite sandwich, except that it has a bit of extra nutrition.  Start with your kids’ favorite type of tortilla, then spread peanut butter on the inside. Add a layer of jelly, jam or preserves (we prefer jam), then some sliced banana. Roll it up, and it’s good to go!

“Trash Wrap”

Make your kids a burrito out of leftovers! Some people call this a trash wrap because you’re using leftovers that otherwise would be tossed away, like the last bit of shredded chicken mix or those few little carrots left in the bag. Basically, not enough to make a full meal alone, but perfect for mixing together and stuffing in a burrito! Just go through your fridge and I bet you’ll find plenty of different ways to make this wrap.

Salad wraps

Getting kids to eat a salad is definitely a challenge, but put all of the same ingredients into a fun tortilla shell and they’ll gobble it up! While you can turn just about any type of salad into a wrap, I love the idea of a chef’s salad. Just add lettuce, tomato, cheese, different luncheon meats, and pieces of hard-boiled egg.

Egg Avocado Wrap

Try putting together a breakfast-style wrap with a spinach tortilla and breakfast goodies inside. You can go with scrambled eggs, shredded cheddar cheese, sliced avocado, and a yummy salsa. This is really nutritious, fun to eat, and very delicious. You can also include any other veggies inside that your kids enjoy eating, such as bell peppers, onions, or even some asparagus.

Fruit and cheese wrap

Even the pickiest kids that I know love at least one type of fruit and one type of cheese. With a little luck, they’ll actually go together in a wrap. I am fascinated by the combination of apple and cheddar, but you can try other fruits and cheeses, too! Maybe pear and swiss? Or kiwi, strawberry, and cream cheese? Even raspberries and sweet cream cheese! To sweeten it, just add a little honey and whip it together.

Even if your kids don’t love these ideas, you can spin off from them and create millions of other wraps! You can put almost anything in a soft tortilla shell! Just use your imagination!
