Get Kid Excited About Brushing With Tanner’s Tasty Paste

Tasty Paste 2

Getting kids excited about brushing their teeth is like getting them exciting about, well brushing their teeth. At least at my house it is. When I say “time to brush your teeth,” I get “awww, come on!” So when Tanner’s Tasty Paste offered me their collection of yummy toothpastes for review, I was anxious to try them out. Tanner’s Tasty Paste: Toothpaste that tastes like dessert! Tanner’s Tasty Paste comes in cool flavors like Vanilla and Chocolate Basically, your two favorite dessert flavors!   So I’ll be honest, I was a little skeptical. I’ve had flavored tooth paste before and […] Read more »

Take the Pain Out of Summer Fun with Puracyn #PuracynFirst

Take the Pain Out of Summer Fun with Puracyn #PuracynFirst

When you’re a mom to a 9-year-old, summer is all about climbing trees, spinning on tire swings, running through the sprinkler and generally being active. When you’re mom to MY 9-year-old who has inherited my klutzy gene, being active often means dealing with scrapes and bruises. Jacob isn’t the only one who suffers from scrapes and bruises. Like I said, he got that klutzy gene from me. I could get wounded in a room filled with cotton balls! I’ve had more than my fair share of wounds in my life. I wish Puracyn® OTC Wound & Skin Care had been […] Read more »

Enjoy Summer without the Bummer of Itchy Skin with #Cortizone10 #MC

Nature is Itchy. Cortizone10 stops the itch.

“I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Cortizone-10. I received a product sample to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.” I live a mile off a main highway, tucked in a development surrounded by trees. My backyard is a forest for a good acre or so. My front yard has a miniature forest of its own. The picture above is taken from the bottom of my driveway. More forest, as you can see.  You know what you find in nature? Bugs. Lots of bugs. Mosquitoes […] Read more »

Be Brave & Flaunt Your Confidence with Certain Dri!

Certain Dri 3

You know how when you get scared, you kind of sweat like crazy? Like, your body screams “hey, you don’t have enough to worry about right now, here’s some sweat that may or may not leak through your clothes and embarrass you!” Nice, right? I don’t sweat too horribly under normal circumstances. In fact, I’m usually the one complaining about air conditioning because I’m cold in the middle of July! Throw me into a scary situation, though, and that totally changes. It’s like someone turned up the heat to a million degrees, but just under my armpits! The sad thing […] Read more »

Breathe Life Back into Dull Skin with Monsia Advanced Skincare Renewal System

Monsia-2_thumb.jpg

After I got out of the hospital a couple of weeks ago, my skin looked pretty much like I felt: beat up, painful and just plain cruddy. Right before I went in with complications from my surgery, I had received my Monsia Advanced Skincare Renewal System for review. One look at the beautiful bottles and jars, and I was just dying to try it out. I’m not one to judge a book by its cover, but you can tell these are going to be really spectacular products by the amount of care that went into packaging them. Sometimes those little […] Read more »

Challenge Yourself to Better Skin, Hair & Nails with Nature’s Bounty Optimal Solutions #HairSkinNails

Natures Bounty

This post is brought to you by Smiley360. I received complimentary Nature’s Bounty Optimal Solutions supplements in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own. With summer coming, now is the perfect time to get your skin, hair and nails ready to showing off to the world. Between shorts, t-shirts and open-toed shoes, we seem to show a lot more skin…and nails…than any other time of the year. I for one am excited because I bite my fingernails like crazy. Summer means painting my toenails pretty colors, something I can’t do with the little stubs of fingernails that […] Read more »

What is it Like to Recover from a Hysterectomy?

Hysterectomy

I originally starting writing this post on what it is like to recover from a hysterectomy last Friday, a week after my surgery. Everything was going fine at that point. On Sunday, I ended up in the hospital with a fever from what I thought was a bladder infection. Turned out to be a post-op infection AND a bladder infection. I was in the hospital for four days. After all that, I thought, maybe I’m not the best person to talk about recovering from a hysterectomy! I don’t want to freak anyone out! Rather than go into detail about that […] Read more »
