To me, the best gift on Mother’s Day is something that my son made for me. I’ve gotten some awesome things over the years from him, including a plate with his hand print on it and a gorgeous vase that he painted himself (the preschool years rocked, his school always went all out for Mother’s Day. According to this infographic, 1 in 3 moms secretly want the day to themselves. While I do need a break from the boy-child from time to time, Mother’s Day is actually one of the days that I wouldn’t want to be anywhere but with my son. After all, without him, I wouldn’t be celebrating the holiday at all! What do you think of the other survey statistics on this infographic? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
I’m with you, there are lots of days I need time to myself but Mother’s Day isn’t one of them. It just wouldn’t feel right not to be with my kids. And I definitely agree with the sleeping in- I’m all for breakfast in bed with the kids but not at sunrise. lol
That’s exactly what I told my husband I wanted – time to myself. 🙂
I’d love to have the entire day to sleep and get caught up on work, but it’s probably not going to happen, lol.
this mom just wants a nap! LOL
I actually identify with much of the infographic. But generally speaking, I try not to put too much emphasis on one day and look at the whole year and those experiences with my husband and family. With that being said, I could really use a day at the spa! : ) And a good night’s sleep (uniterrupted, of course)
