I’ll be honest, the words “new and improved” scare me a bit because it means something has changed. Change is not always good, especially when it comes to food. When you have a picky eater who notices even the slightest difference in foods that he likes, it’s even worse. I once tried to buy a generic version of his favorite cereal and put it in the brand-name box. He wasn’t fooled. That cereal ended up going to the deer because it got stale since he wouldn’t eat it. Thank goodness the Yoplait Trix changes did not alter the taste. Instead, all the changes are in the background, where your child won’t notice them. You, on the other hand, will, because you’ll feel better about giving it to them.
Same Great Taste, No Added Junk
Yoplait Trix Yogurt still has the same great taste. The Raspberry Rainbow, Cotton Candy, and Strawberry Banana Bash (my son’s three favorite flavors) still have the splendid burst of flavor that makes kids keep craving it. What it doesn’t have, however, is added junk. You know, all the stuff that usually makes you cringe when you read it on the nutritional label. This includes: artificial colors, flavors, and sweeteners. It also has no high fructose corn syrup. I know the jury is still out on the whole HFC issue, but as a precaution, I’ve been trying to eliminate it from Jacob’s diet as much as possible.
Trix Yogurt is colored with vegetable juice and other natural sources instead of chemical dyes, which is also important because I’m working on eliminating certain dyes from his diet too. I’ve been researching the effect of artificial ingredients on children, and again, although the jury is still out, I opt for the “better safe than sorry” approach when it comes to important things, like what he puts in his body. It’s a work in progress, and I don’t want to deny him his favorite foods. That’s why I’m so grateful when those favorites makes the changes for me, so I don’t have to tell him “no.”
Great Snack for Busy Kids
Kids don’t really care about all the behind-the-scenes details of their snacks, they just care about how it tastes. Trix Yogurt definitely tastes great! It makes the perfect after-school snack because it’s not only delicious, it delivers 10 percent of your child’s Vitamin A, D, and calcium needs. Jacob also eats it for breakfast. He’s not a big fan of eating in the morning, and yogurt is one of the few things he can get down that early. He eats lunch super early in school, so at least I know he has something to hold him over until then in his stomach.
“Trix are for kids” but unwanted additives definitely are not. That’s why Yoplait® Trix®
Yogurt comes in silly, swirly flavors kids love, without high fructose corn syrup, artificial
flavors, or sweeteners. It’s still the same bright, fun, colorful snack, only better. You’ll love
that they love it!

I am so glad that companies are providing new ingredients that truly are more natural and healthy. It makes buying snacks for my 4 year old a lot easier. Thanks for sharing about this. My daughter loves yogurt.
We actually buy this all the time!
I like knowing it’s a health treat/snack…
They like the cool colors and the rabbit
Win/Win!
I have to see if my 2 year old will like this. But then he loves all things yogurt so….
This is great. My kids love yogurt but my selections are limited because I want to choose ones that don’t have all the bad things in them. They use to ask for Trix all the time but I didn’t like the junk in it, now I can get it for them.
I didn’t know there was Trix yogurt but I know what you mean about change not being good with food. I’m with your child on store brand cereal though, yuck!
It’s funny because one of my first questions would have been about artificial ingredients. Love that they use all natural ingredients : )
