I received a sample of Pompeian Grapeseed Oil from Smiley 360 in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
During the holidays, we bake a ton (I mean a ton) of cookies! It’s one of the few things I can make well, so I tend to go overboard. On top of that, my mom makes all my grandmother’s classics. With all the cookies we bake, you’d think we’d have an awesome cookie sheet. Well, we don’t. The ones we have used to be non-stick. Now, for some reason (years of use?), they’re not. Other than that, they still work great. Rather than buying new ones and tossing the old ones into a landfill, I’d rather just grease them up in some way.
Pompeian Grapeseed Oil All-Natural Cooking Spray to the rescue!
First, I have to thank my mom for all the work she did putting this post together for me. I’ll be honest, I procrastinated because I haven’t had time to start baking. Then it was the day before the deadline, and I wasn’t planning to be home until after 11 at night! I worked all day outside the home, then Sal and I went out for our anniversary. My mom did all the work and took the pictures for me. It gave her a chance to try out her new cookie shooter thing (I have no idea what it’s called, you put the dough in, squeeze the trigger and it shoots out shaped cookies. It’s pretty cool!).
Pompeian Grapeseed Oil All-Natural Cooking Spray is a new product from the people who bring you Pompeian Olive Oil, so you already trust their name. There are three really great features of this cooking spray:
- It’s all natural, 100% grapeseed oil. It’s imported from France! Does that mean that when I cook with it, I’m a French chef?
- It has a high smoking point, so it’s also great for stir-fry.
- It’s eco-friendly! Rather than using an propellant-based spraying method, it has some sort of fancy mechanics in the form of a pouch system. That system also protects the oil from light, so it doesn’t get all nasty.
Just a light coating on the cookie sheet was all my mom needed to make amazing cookies. I love that the cooking spray doesn’t alter the taste of the food. That’s important to me because I want my cookies to come out tasting like cookies, not the stuff I used to coat the baking sheet.
I plan to use Pompeian Grapeseed Oil whenever I need cooking spray this holiday season! Want to check it out yourself? I have not heard of this before, I use a bit of olive oil when I do the stir fry and end up with pouring a little out. I like that this is a spray and will not alter the taste of the foods. I went over and snagged the coupon to give it a try, and did their survey. I am like you, I have quite a few pans that want to stick and would try something different then tossing them out. Thank you for sharing.
You’re welcome! I hope you enjoy using it. Bake up something delicious!!
I was curious if you ever considered changing the page layout of your site?
Its very well written; I love what youve got to say.
But maybe you could a little more in the way of content
so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or two pictures.
Maybe you could space it out better?
I don’t even know how I ended up here, but I thought this post was
great. I don’t know who you are but definitely you are going to a famous
blogger if you are not already 😉 Cheers! https://vimeo.com/84049052
