Looking for some of the best subscription boxes for teens? I’ve got you covered! Whether you’re shopping for a gamer, a reader, a “tinkerer” or a makeup fanatic, there’s a box for that in my top picks below!

PRO TIP: If you can’t really afford to buy multiple ongoing monthly subscription, here’s a secret from one perpetually broke parent to another. I subscribe to different boxes for one or two months throughout the year, then put them away in my closet. Then, when a holiday rolls around, I “shop” from those boxes for stocking stuffers and other small gifts to give my son and other teens in my life.

Anyway, whether you’re looking for a teen subscription box that you’ll actually give your child every month or you want to try my trick, these ideas below are a great place to start!

Best Subscription Boxes for Teens

The teen years range from kids who are barely out of middle school to those who are on their way to college, so their tastes really run the gamut. I kept that in mind and tried to find a good variety of ideas for all ages.

FYI, this post uses affiliate links. If you subscribe to one of the boxes below through my links, I get a small commission at no extra cost to you. Prices are valid as of today (6/20) and subject to change.

9. Japan Crate

Perfect for: Teens who love Japanese snacks, anime lovers.

What you get in each box: A LOT. This is among one of my all-time favorite subscription boxes (and not just for teens). The Original box comes with 10 Japanese candy/snack items. Some aren’t available in US stores. Those that are taste better than what you can buy locally. I lived in Japan, and there’s a WORLD of difference in flavor. Most of the stuff that you find here has been frozen, thawed, or sitting somewhere for weeks (or months). Japan Crate’s goodies taste exactly like I remember.

I planned to include more than 10 boxes, but my poor dog got stung by a bee and had an allergic reaction. She’s fine, but I have to go sit next to her so she’ll rest a bit. I do plan to update this soon and add more, so bookmark it and come back. 😀
