For as long as I can recall, Autumn has always been my favorite season. Even during the school years, when it meant the dreaded return to class, I still loved the crisp air, the promise of impending Halloween excitement, and the fact that all the nasty stinging insects started dropping from the chill. It meant pumpkin bread, longer nights (I actually prefer shorter days and less sunlight!), and footie jammie time! Today, I look forward to the changing leaves, celebrating Halloween with my own mischief maker, pumpkin pie (and anything else made with pumpkin!), and of course, the death of stinging insects.
