When you’re far from home during the holiday season, all it takes is a single memory to transport you back to the times when you were with your loved ones. I remember when I was living in Japan and couldn’t come home for Christmas. Even though I couldn’t see my family, keeping our little traditions alive really helped. Baking the same cookies that my grandmother made, opening a gift on Christmas Eve, using ornaments from my tree back home really helped ease the sadness that came along with being so far away. Of course, memory is strongly tied to our sense of smell, and making your home smell like the familiar holiday scents of Christmases past can really help!
Do you know someone who can’t be home this holiday season? Febreze wants to hear your story! Just visit their Facebook Contest and nominate your loved one for the grand prize. They’ll deliver $10,000 and all the special holiday memories of home to the one lucky winner. All you have to do is share the name, city, and state of your loved one who can’t make it home this holiday season. Then tell Febreze a little about your friend or family member and why he or she could use a little happiness this year. The Febreze Best of Holidays Past Contest starts 11/5/12 & ends 11/27/12, enter here: http://www.facebook.com/
