Preparing for back to school season is almost as crazy as prepping for the holiday season, don’t you think? If you have teens heading off the college, it’s even crazier! Not only do they need their basic back to school supplies, but they need to furnish an entire living space away from home. It’s like school shopping and new apartment shopping at the same time.

Redbubble Your Something Collage

You know I have a major passion for Rebubble when it comes to decorating and fun gifts, right? But did you also know that you can check a ton of items off those lists right there too? Redbubble is THE place to find the awesome and the unique, the stylish and the hip. Kids who have dress codes can show off their personality through back packs and fun gear, while teens in college can express themselves from breakfast to bed time, all without every leaving Redbubble.

Find "Your Something" for Back to School at Redbubble

Throughout the month, Redbubble has been sharing a ton of great back to school items for all ages. This week, they’re focusing on “your something,” my favorite category for teens heading to college. “Your Something” covers all the little things that make life more comfortable, from travel mugs to pouches for everything from makeup to pencils. I had the chance to check out some super cool designs from the Your Something category for review. Wanna see? Of course you do!

Redbubble's Saw Whet Owl drawstring bag, designed by Scott Partridge, is perfect for carrying everything from books to snacks!

My absolute favorite “something” is my Saw Whet Owl drawstring bag, designed by Scott Partridge. It’s not only so fun to look at, it’s incredibly well designed. This isn’t your average lightweight drawstring bag that you throw in your trunk and forget. It’s super strong, made with 100% polyester woven fabric. The draw-cord is soft yet sturdy, so it can hold your stuff without scratching the heck out of your shoulders. As with all Redbubble products, the design is made to last.

Stash your makeup, pencils or other necessities in an uber-stylish Keep Calm and Live Slow Sloth pouch, designed by AndyWestface.

Stash your makeup, pencils or other necessities in an uber-stylish Keep Calm and Live Slow Sloth pouch, designed by AndyWestface. This super roomy pouch is also crafted with strong polyester fabric. It’s easy to clean with a damp cloth and zips shut to hold everything in place. Pouches come in small and large, so you can get the size you need for your stuff.

Every college student needs a good travel mug for coffee. I am so in adoration of my Llama Portrait #9 travel mug, designed by Jean Gregory Adams.

Every college student needs a good travel mug for coffee. Coffee is like a magical life force when you have an 8AM class. Who am I kidding, it’s the life force when you have a noon class! I remember college! I am so in adoration of my Llama Portrait #9 travel mug, designed by Jean Gregory Adams.  Yes, there are also Llama Portraits 1-8! Isn’t he just the happiest little guy you’ve ever seen? Doesn’t that face perk you up when you’re dragging in the morning?

Little Red is absolutely inspiring, calling out to you to take notes, document your life or just let the thoughts flow. Designer Ali J does such beautiful work.

Finally, every college student needs notebooks. Many, many notebooks. While I don’t recommend buying a ton of expensive notebooks, I do think that everyone should have one super beautiful (or fun) notebook that inspires them. Little Red is absolutely inspiring, calling out to you to take notes, document your life or just let the thoughts flow. Designer Ali J does such beautiful work.

For every product I mentioned, there are literally thousands of different designs to choose from. At Redbubble, you really can find YOUR something to fit your own totally unique personality.  Don’t forget, when you shop Redbubble, you’re supporting independent artists. That’s one of the things I love most about the site and what drew me to it in the first place.
