Back in July, I told you about how I kissed those sheep goodbye with my Serta Perfect Sleeper. At that point, I’d been sleeping on my Serta® Fitzpatrick Super Pillowtop Plush Gel Perfect Sleeper® for about a week. Now that I’ve had a little more time with it, I realize just how much of a dream come true it really is! Life before my Serta® was filled with long nights of tossing and turning, trying to find a comfortable position. I have chronic back problems along with a pinched nerve in my neck and carpal tunnel. I think I’m also getting bursitis or something in my hip. Basically, I hurt from head to around my knees! With my old mattress, I couldn’t find the right position to keep my arms from falling asleep and my hips from hurting. I woke up miserable, with “lack of sleep” migraines almost every other day. There are 5 common sleep problems, and I suffered from almost every one of them. They include:
- Tossing/Turning
- Lack of Support
- Back Pain
- Sleeping Hot
- Partner Movement and Sagging/Rolling Off (this is the only one I didn’t deal with, usually!)
Serta Perfect Sleeper is the Official Mattress of the National Sleep Foundation designed to help with these five problems.
Life after Serta® Perfect Sleeper
Now that I have my beautiful Serta® Fitzpatrick Super Pillowtop Plush Gel Perfect Sleeper® with the Pivot™ base, I sleep like a dream. It’s easy for me to find a comfortable position because the Cool Action™ Gel Memory Foam combined with the Custom Support® Individual Advantage™ ensures that EVERY position is comfortable. I feel like my bed welcomes me, hugs me and carries me away to dreamland. Let’s check out my video. It was a little harder to make this time because of noisy neighbors and my own dogs being loud, so I apologize if I’m a little awkward! I had a lot that I wanted to say and ended up forgetting half of it by the time I got to the 7th take.
If you recall, I went with the Pivot™ base, which lets you adjust the head of your bed up and down. It’s available on select Serta Perfect Sleeper mattresses. You can also opt for the the Motion Essentials™, which lets you adjust both the head and the feet. The Pivot™ is perfect for me because it lets me sleep with just one pillow. In the past, I slept with a stack of pillows artfully arranged to keep pressure off my pinched nerve while also supporting my head. In the middle of the night, my pillows would slip all over the place and I’d end up with worse pain from sleeping at odd head angles! Now, I adjust my head to the perfect spot and use just my favorite pillow. I bet you could give up the pillow if you had to, but I like sleeping with at least one. If I’m feeling stuffy from allergies, I adjust it a little higher so I can breathe better. Now, most of my pillows are there for decorative purposes!
My bed is a combination of the memory foam and the coil system. If you prefer a whole memory foam bed, the Perfect Sleeper Memory Foam line, gives you an amazing option at a more affordable price point. In fact, all of their high-quality mattress are available at an attainable price of between $399 – $1,299 for a standard queen set.
After sleeping on my Serta Perfect Sleeper mattress for almost two months now, I can confidently say that there’s nothing like it. I don’t think I’ve slept this good in my entire adult life!
Which of the five common sleep problems do you deal with right now? Tell me in the comments!
I slept on a serta recently at a hotel we stayed at and OMG what a LOVELY night’s sleep! I have to say however believe it or not I just recently WON a queen mattress – not Serta from another blog which was OMG so wonderful and with as cruddy as my bed is I NEEDED it – but hey I would take a Serta anyday – and would go back to that hotel to sleep on one again lol
Oh wow, Congratulations!! That is an AWESOME win! Hey, I know how you feel, a new mattress is a new mattress when yours is ancient and miserable. I won’t hold it against you that it’s not a Serta. 😀
What a great review. Sleeping on a comfortable mattress is one of the keys to a goo night’s rest.
I am in need of a new mattress and I am so glad to read your review. I will be checking this out for sure.
Sleep is very important and I am willing to invest my money on a high quality products. A great mattress will provide comfort and a good night rest
I have chronic back pain and fibromyalgia so I struggle in the sleep department too. If I sleep wrong or not, I usually wake up in pain from head to toe or I toss and turn trying to find a comfy spot. I would love to sleep on this mattress and see if it helps me in dreammand.
I don’t have fibro (that I know of, although I wonder), but I do have chronic back pain, pinched nerves, bursitis in my hips (I think, undiagnosed) and who the heck knows what else is wrong with me these days. I’m not saying I wake up feeling like a million bucks every morning, but it’s really helped a ton. It definitely helps with the hip pain, a good portion of the nighttime back pain and the weird issue I had where both my arms fell asleep at the same time.
I always seem to wake up sore. I need a new mattress. I will have to go and check out the Serta Sleeper.
If you’re waking up sore, a new mattress really does work wonders!
We have an older Serta pillow top – and just about ready for something like this dream of a Serta – Wow – wonderful for you and great for us to be aware of 🙂
This sounds heavenly! Luckily, I’m quite content with my pillow 😉
My sweetie just rolled out the bed a couple nights ago – his first time. He was having some weird dream that involved a dog. Lol. I was actually looking at purchasing a Serta this weekend. There were some sales that caught my eye.
