If your kids are anything like mine, video games make up a large portion of their holiday wish lists. Last year, Jake’s entire list was made up of just games! This year, he’s branched out a little bit…into video game accessories. Hey, it’s progress! Every year, Jake has at least one Activision game on his list. They are one of his all-time favorite game companies, and for a good reason: they have something just about everyone! Check out two of the hottest new games for kids, tweens and teens!

SKYLANDERS IMAGINATORS for all ages

skylandersimaginators

We’ve been playing Skylanders since the very first game came out. Jake and I had a great time playing Trap Team together two Christmases ago! This year, Skylanders are back with a whole new experience that goes beyond the in-game fun!  Skylanders Imaginators lets kids unleash their imaginations by giving them the freedom to create their own Skylander character. The game also supports all of the Skylanders from previous games (over 300 of them!).

As if that isn’t exciting enough, Skylanders Imaginators  will also feature Sensei toys and characters including this year’s guest stars Crash Bandicoot, Dr. Neo Cortex and Kaos. Kids can also create on-the-go with the free Skylanders Creator App, offering the same in-game character creation tools plus the option to bring creations to life as a t-shirt, 2-D playable card, or a fully playable 3-D printed Skylanders Imaginators toy!

Skylanders Imaginators is rated E for Everyone, and is designed for ages 6-12 in particular. DESTINY – THE COLLECTION for teens

destiny-collectionJacob had a chance to check this one out early, and he loves it! He’s been a HUGE Destiny fan since he started playing it a little over a year ago. In fact, he really wanted to be a Destiny character for Halloween last year, but I didn’t have enough sewing talent to pull it off. Destiny – The CollectionThe 2 Hottest Activision Games of the Year for Kids & Teens is must-have for fans of the best-selling game. It’s an all-access pass, packing two years of content into one epic offering. Yep, it even includes the new Rise of Iron expansion.
