Le Palais des Thés Makes Gorgeous TeasWhile I’m a coffee person during the day, at night I love to unwind with a few good cups of tea. I’ve tried dozens of different types of teas over the years, and while I love many brands, I’ve never felt as classy as I did while drinking my Thé  Du Hammam and Thé Des Moines from La Palais des Thés. These teas are not only absolutely delicious, but they’re gorgeous all around. From the packaging to the tea bags themselves, you’ll feel like royalty while drinking them.

The packaging itself is beautiful. Even the basic boxed teas come in classy little boxes. If you really want to go all out though, I recommend their jars and canisters. Think of it as two gifts in one, as the containers are fancy enough to be reused once the tea is gone.

The teas come in loose or bagged forms. I opted for the tea bags because I lost my little infuser long ago and haven’t had a chance to pick up a new one yet. I was expected the inexpensive little paper-like bags that most supermarket teas are packaged in, so I was surprised when I opened the shiny foil wrapper to find high-quality muslin bags. They look like little sachets.

The flavors are extraordinary. Thé Des Moines is based on a tea brewed by the ancient Tibetan monks and contains a blend of plants and flowers. It has a bit of a rather pleasant floral taste to it. I’m not great at identifying different flavors and scents, but the flavor invokes feelings of sipping tea in a French garden. While I like to add honey to all my tea, it was sweet enough without it, but not overwhelmingly so. I love the aroma of this tea, it’s so pretty.

Le Palais des Thés Makes Gorgeous TeasThé  Du Hammam was my favorite of the two. This Turkish flavor combines roses, green dates, berries and orange flower water sprinkled with flower petals. I think the orange flower water and berries really come out in the flavor. This one definitely doesn’t need any sweetening, but again it’s not overwhelming. Thé  Du Hammam is the perfect tea for relaxing in your comfy jammies after a long, tiring day.

Le Palais des Thés Makes Gorgeous TeasAside from the single tea items, Le Palais des Thés also sells beautiful sampler sets and other tea-related gifts. Tea prices range from $8 for a cute metal tin to $65 for a loose-tea sampler set, with each tea packaged in a metal tube, so there is something for every budget. They also sell books, tea pots, and even tea-scented candles. If you’re looking for a beautiful and thoughtful hostess gift, you can’t go wrong with these classy teas.
