Copco Travel Cups ReviewWhen you’re on the go, it’s easy to spend a small fortune on coffee, soda, and other beverages. First there’s the coffee to keep your eyes open while you drive, then the coffee to help you get through the line at the grocery store to keep you from smacking the “last-minute check writer” (you know, the one who waits until the cashier gives her the total before she even begins to fish her checkbook out of her purse), then the afternoon beverage to rehydrate you after drinking all that coffee, and so on. I estimate that I spend at least $15 on drinks when I’m out running around all day. Not only is that horrible on my wallet, but it’s also not so great on the environment, since I’m using throw-away cups.Obviously, the smarter solution is to just take my drinks with me for the day. That would save me money, be better for the environment, and probably even encourage me to drink more good fluids instead of grabbing a soda mid-afternoon.

Copco makes several really neat travel mugs in a variety of styles and colors. I received two of their Eco-First Acadia mugs and their Stir and Sip cup for this review. My favorite part of the Eco-First mug is the simplicity of the design. It’s classy and understated. The mug is BPA-free, and made with a double plastic wall so it holds in the heat from your coffee. I gave it a test run on one of the coldest days of the season, and it did a great job of keeping my coffee hot long into my morning errands. It holds up to 16-ounces, which is important to me because I drink at least that much coffee just in the morning alone.

Jacob pretty much stole my Stir and Go cup five minutes after I took it out of the box. He likes it because it makes it easier to stir his chocolate milk, especially when the syrup settles to the bottom. When I have a chance to use it, I like to fill it with some sort of low-cal beverage (I’m not a fan of plain water) and put it in the other cup holder of my car for later. Since it’s winter, everything stays nice and cool. Like the Acadia mug, the Stir and Sip has a really simple yet fun design. It looks like a plastic cup you would get from a to-go stand, but it’s much thicker. It is also BPA-free, and has a non-slip grip band around the middle to help prevent you from dropping it in your lap when you’re driving.
