The Oscars are on tonight, and while I haven’t watched them in a while (at some point, they just got a little too pretentious for me), I do love to read the results the next day. I also love checking out the Red Carpet pictures, as I am fascinated by what some celebs consider fashionable. This fun infographic uses Facebook and Twitter as a way of predicting which way the awards will go this season. We’ll have to check back later and see how close they were to getting it right.

Brilliant article, first time I have read how social media can influence big events such as the oscars and include graphics and statistical charts. Its no big suprise that ‘the help’ is odds on favourite to win it from a public/social media point of view however whats interesting is the ‘the artist, nominated heavily by the industry but getting hardly any traction from the public/social media population.
