I play video games with Jacob just about every day, so I spend a lot of time sitting on the floor. I’m one of those people that has to sit at an exact angle and distance from the TV in order to feel comfortable while playing games, so sitting on the couch just isn’t an option. After a marathon session of the newest Lego game, my back starts to hurt like crazy. The WondaWedge Inflatable Reading Pillow really helps with that problem.
I received the green WondaWedge for review, blew it up, and used it the first night it arrived. It is surprisingly firm and supportive, considering it’s inflatable. Plus, since you control how much air you put in it, you can increase or decrease the firmness to suit your needs. It definitely improved my video game playing experience, although Jacob kept trying to take it from me. In fact, he let me get out of playing another level because I told him he could use it when I was done. The permanently-attached mat helps keep the WondaWedge from sliding away from you, so you don’t have to worry about adjusting and readjusting it every few minutes.
Although it’s technically a reading pillow, the WondaWedge can be used for just about anything that requires sitting. Take it with you to the beach this summer to help keep sand out of uncomfortable places, or bring it along to an outdoor event so you have a place to sit. Indoors, the WondaWedge is useful just about anywhere. It makes reading in bed a lot easier, as you don’t have to use a bunch of pillows to prop yourself up. If you’re suffering from a major chest cold, use it to keep you upright yet still comfortable at bedtime.
When you’re done using the WondaWedge, just deflate it, roll it up, and stow it away in your bag or closet. It folds down pretty flat, so it’ s not going to be a space hog. Although it’s pretty sturdy, it isn’t indestructible, so I suggest keeping pets and sharp objects away from it. Jacob already put a hole in mine, but I was able to patch it up. It is definitely stronger than you would expect an inflatable pillow to be, though.
The WondaWedge retails for $24 in the WondaWedge Store, and comes in a variety of bright colors, as well as a more neutral gray.

We used regular thick packing tape first, then replaced that with a bike patch. It worked pretty well!
