What’s In the Box
- Cleansing Wash- The first step in the system, this gentle cleansing wash does not contain soap or any other harsh ingredients, making it perfect for even the most sensitive skin. It won’t irritate your face, and it’s not oily, so it won’t leave behind any icky residue.
- Fruit Acid Exfoliant and Gentle Application Pads- After cleansing your face, use the Gentle Application Pads to apply the Fruit Acid Exfoliant all over your face. This step did sting a bit the first time, but after that it didn’t bother me at all, so maybe it was a fluke. The application pads are the only part of the system that I don’t love. They’re a little too abrasive for my skin. The pads are designed to help exfoliate, so that may be the reason.
- OPC Reparative Gel- The third step in the system is the OPC Reparative Gel, which contains powerful antioxidants that decrease redness and repair the skin surface. It’s even more powerful than Vitamins C or E. Don’t let its funky orange color throw you off, it dries clear and does a great job of making your skin feel great.
- Moisturizer- The system comes with a choice of three different moisturizers. I received the Peptide Hydrator, and this was definitely my favorite product in the box. The moisturizer feels awesome, especially first thing in the morning when your skin is all tired and grungy from sleeping all night with your face smashed against your pillow. Not only does it make your skin feel great, it acts as the perfect primer for makeup.
Overall, I was impressed with the Skin Renewal System. The numbers on each of the bottles made it easy to remember in which order I was supposed to use them, and everything except the pads were gentle enough for my sensitive skin. My skin definitely feels better after using it, and I’ve noticed less splotchiness in the morning (when I suffer from it the most).
