I love making pulled pork because it has so many uses! The recipe below is fairly basic, but depending on if you want BBQ or Cuban pork, you can add ingredients, such as limes for Cuban Pork or more chili powder for BBQ. Once the pork is finished you can use if for a variety of uses. I make BBQ Pork sandwiches, tacos, Cuban Pulled Pork, and even use it as a calzone filling or pizza topping! If you want to make a large batch, let the finished pork cool, then place in a freezer bag and freeze. You can add additional seasonings or sauce once you defrost.

Crockpot Pulled Pork

  • 1 ½ lbs. pork tenderloin
  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ cup water
  • 3 T. brown sugar
  • 2 t. kosher salt
  • ½ t. ground black pepper
  • ½ t. ground red pepper
  • ½ t. chili powder
  • 1 T. garlic powder
  • 4 T. Brown Sugar

Directions: Combine all ingredients except pork in crockpot and stir. Add in pork. Cook on high for 1 hour; reduce crockpot to low for 4-5 hours. When pork pulls apart, remove from juices and shred.
