I love ice-cream, and the more stuff it has in it, the better. I’m the type to ask for extra sprinkles, extra fudge, extra anything. New flavors on the shelves full of random bits and pieces always make their way into my freezer. Sure, plain ice-cream is good once in a while, but why go plain when you can go gourmet. Gourmet Garbage, that is!

Alas, I do not have a Marble Slab Creamery near my house. While we have like 500 furniture and mattress stores in my area, we are sadly lacking in most of the delicious ice-cream stands that other areas have. Maybe someday… Until then, though, I was incredibly thrilled to receive their Gourmet Garbage ice-cream mix-ins to try out.

I cannot even begin to describe how much this stuff rocks, but since it’s kind of my job as a blogger to find a way to put it into words, I’ll try! First, it is loaded with all the delicious goodies that go perfect with ice-cream: chocolate chips, white chocolate chops, nonpareils, nuts, peanut butter chips, and I’m not really even sure what else. Just a lot of really good stuff. Second, the jar is huge and lasts a long time, even if you’re the type to put a little extra on your ice-cream (like me). Third, it’s just plain amazing.

I poured a bit of hot fudge over my ice-cream, then spooned on a heaping amount of Gourmet Garbage. The result was one of the best bowls of ice-cream I’ve ever had. Seriously, it was so good, I think I even shed a few tears when I reached the bottom of my canister. Next time I travel, I’m definitely mapping out Marble Slab locations and finding a way to fit them in! If their mix-ins are that good, I can only imagine how amazing their ice-cream is!
