Cookies are definitely one of the best parts of the holidays. They’re one of the few things I can actually bake pretty well. My childhood Christmas memories always involve a tray filled with tons of different cookies at my grandmother’s house. While I’d like to carry on that delicious tradition, I don’t always have the time to bake a wide variety. I don’t want to run out to the store and grab some average, everyday cookie either. It has to be special to make it to the tray! Kukees Gourmet Cookies definitely fit the “special” bill! From presentation to taste, these are far more than just an average, everyday cookie.
What Makes Kukees Different?
Like I said above, everything from the packaging to the last bite of the last cookie is amazing. The flavor choices made it really hard to decide which ones I wanted to review. I ended up going with the Double Chocolate Chip and the Reeses Peanut Butter Cup cookies. Sal is a huge fan of peanut butter cups, and I love chocolate chip. Other flavor choices included: White Chocolate Macadamia, Dark Chocolate Cherry, Peanut Butter Banana, and Triple Raisin Oatmeal. They’re also introducing four new flavors just for the holidays: Gingerbread Chocolate, Pumpkin White Chocolate, Cranberry-Orange Zest with White Chips, and Turtle.
The cookies arrived in a really cute box that I am actually going to keep and repurpose for small items, like craft supplies or something. It’s just too cute to throw out now that the cookies are gone! Check it out!
The Kukees Cookies are huge! They’re thick, full of texture, and completely delicious. The Double Chocolate chip combines both Belgian dark chocolate and milk chocolate together, with bits of both in every bite. The Reeses Peanut Butter Cup cookies actually has huge bits of the candy baked in. Sal and I both thought that we tasted a bit of oats in the cookies, making them more robust than the average cookie.
Look at that cookie! Seriously, it’s like the size of a muffin. Kukees explains that many customers say their concoctions taste like cookie dough, only baked, and I can see why. It’s like eating the best part of the cookie without worrying about nasty things like salmonella. They use the best ingredients possible, and don’t junk up their flavor with artificial preservatives or hydrogenated oils. Plus, every Kukees cookie has 3 grams of fiber, so you’re fitting in a bit of healthiness with your treat.
