Jake and the Never Land Pirates is one of my Jacob’s favorite shows. I don’t know if it’s because the main character has the same name as him, or if it’s the pirate theme, or because it’s just a fun show for him to watch. Whatever the reason, I’m thrilled that he still likes a few shows that focus on nicer themes, like teamwork and friendship. He’s getting to the age where he’s starting to ask cartoons that I like, but don’t really think are appropriate for him. Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Jake Saves Bucky is definitely among the former (the good shows).
In the title episode of the brand new DVD, Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Jake Saves Bucky (released on 10/16/12), Jake and his crew must race Bucky against the Jolly Roger and it’s pilot, the dreaded Captain Hook. Jake has to win, because if he doesn’t Bucky will belong to Hook forever! You know very well that Hook isn’t going to play fair, so Jake and the crew have their work cut out for them.
In edition to the main full-length episode, the Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Jake Saves Bucky DVD also includes four more episodes of the show, including:

Jacob, of course, loved this entire DVD and has watched it a few times. Last year, he took in his Jake and the Never Land Pirates : Peter Pan Returns school so his class could watch episodes at the end of the day. I don’t know if they’re doing that this year, but I know he loves to share the show with others. He also loves to sing along with the catchy songs throughout the show. Fortunately for him, the bonus feature on this DVD is a Pirate-oke feautre – that lets him sing along to a collection of the songs featured in the episodes.
