Revlon is a firm believer in empowering women and inspiring them to express their own personal style. I've used their products since I was a teenager (which was a little longer ago than I like to admit!), and to me, they just keep getting better. I have to admit, I do get into makeup and style ruts from time to time. I like the tried and true, once I find something that works, I stick to it. While that can be great for many things, when it comes to style, it's much more fun to experiment a bit! So when I'm feeling like I've been doing the same thing for two long, I grab some new products and try to shake things up!
One of my favorite ways to express myself is through nail polish. Not on my fingers, mind you, because I bite them all off before they can grow. Horrible habit, yet, but I'm 37 years old, and old habits are hard to break! My toes, however, change colors just about every week. I'm also a fan of trying out different colored lipstick. While I tend to stick to a certain color group (plums, blue-based reds, etc), I do like to shake things up a bit with a different shade.
Of course, self-expression is about way more than the makeup on your face or the clothes you wear. As a writer, I'm all about expressing myself. I'm lucky, because my job is essentially a constant source of self-expression. Even when I'm writing for someone else, it's my words that are bringing an idea to life. Of course, you don't need to be a writer to express your own style!
Revlon is challenging you to try something new to express yourself with their Revlon Expression Experiment Facebook app. Aside from tons of great information, educational videos, and other great content, the app issues different challenges to really shake up your style. For example, the current challenge is to try out a vintage look and share the reactions you get through the app.
How will you express your own unique style? Will you take part in one of the Revlon Expression challenges? If so, I'd love to hear about the reactions you get!
