After 8 very long days and 8 very cold nights, I have power! It came back on Tuesday night at 6:30. We saw the power trucks pulling into our development around 9:30 that morning, and I literally burst into tears. I never understood why people cried when they were happy to see someone until that morning. We stopped for a minute waiting to get through to our house, and I told them I would gladly walk home if it meant getting my power back. My mom told them they were a sight for sore eyes. One of the workers said to me “we may not be the prettiest guys around, but we try!” Well, to me, at that moment they were the prettiest guys on the planet!
