Rockford Files with Magnum PI and Simon & Simon tied for a very close second.
Is this a trick question..? 🙂 am I supposed to say..burr Ashland ? I think Sookie Stachouse, makes a pretty good impromptu investigator but I have to go with Sherlock Holmes because its the earliest PI I can think of and it’s a fun read!
V. I. Warshawski
Magnum PI
Magnum P.i. because he was so handsome. Peter Gunn just because that theme song was so cool.
the greatest Private Investigator of all times. I would say Sherlock Holmes. I like Hercule Poirot, Miss Marple and more recently Kinsey Milhoune.
Magnum PI
Gotta go with Magnum PI
My favorite PI series of all time are still the Nancy Drew books. She wasn’t really a “PI”, but the concept was the same. I read all of those as a child, and they really stayed with me.
Sherlock Holmes of course
I say Miss Marple! You just can’t beat Agatha Christie even though, technically speaking Miss Marple isn’t exactly a PI …
I am a fan of a good old fashioned Sherlock holmes mystery 🙂
Sherlock Holmes, no doubt.
Angela Landsbury in Murder She Wrote
