blogathonwinter180It’s time for the biannual Blogathon! This is the first time that it’s fallen during  a weekend that I can actually participate, so I’m excited. I have so much to get done. I won’t be able to do the full weekend, as I do have a birthday party to take my son to on Saturday, but I’m still aiming for as much computer time as possible. Little man is going to be disappointed, as he uses my computer to play Minecraft. By the end of the weekend, though, I’m hoping to be caught up in some areas, and ahead of the game in others.

My Blogathon Weekend Tasks

  • Write posts for the entire next two weeks. That’s about 14 posts that I need to write! This will take me the better part of at least one day. My record for the most articles written in one day is 10, so we’ll see how that goes.
  • Write good tweets for at least 25 old posts. Schedule them out over the next few weeks. I know a lot of people love that Tweet Old Posts plugin, but I prefer more personalized tweets than just the title.
  • Plan an editorial calendar for the next 6 months. Not that I’ll stick to it exactly, but at least I’ll have ideas for posts for that long in case inspiration doesn’t strike elsewhere.
  • Go through my emails and categorize the ones that I just kept archiving because I was too lazy that day to actually tag it properly. This should be loads of fun! That’s sarcasm, by the way.

I think that’s about it! Seems pretty manageable, right? The biggest thing that I want to get done is the posts for the next two weeks. I feel a lot better knowing I have something scheduled. It’s much easier to relax when my editorial calendar is full!

What are you hoping to accomplish most during the Blogathon?
