“I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Dunkin’ Donuts. I received a Dunkin’ Donuts Party Kit to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.”

Sal and I are regulars at the Dunkin’ Donuts shop between my house and his. I think we must stop there at least several times a week! Their hot coffee warms us in the winter while their iced-coffee provides a cooling refreshment in the summer. When the chance to host a Dunkin’ Donuts Seasonal Coffee party came up, I practically screamed “pick me, pick me!” across the internet. Any chance I have to share my great love of coffee with others is definitely an excuse to party!

May is a month filled with major events. Aside from Mother’s Day, both Sal and my good friend Beth had birthdays during the first two weeks. I won’t tell you how old they are. Especially Beth. She just hit a milestone, although she’s swearing she’s just 21. Since we have so many special occasions in May, we figured we’d get together and have one big (little) celebration for everyone. After all, we’re all huge fans of Dunkin’ Donuts.

The Amazing Dunkin’ Donuts Party Kit with Seasonal Flavors

Dunkin Donuts

I received an amazing party kit filled with great goodies for everyone. For me, there was a bag filled with all three of the new seasonal flavors: Triple Berry, Strawberry Shortcake, and Coconut. My bag also contained a coupon for $2 off Dunkin’ Donuts coffee, a recipe card for iced-coffee, and a great to-go cup to fill with the iced-coffee! Everyone else got the same thing, except their bags had one of the three flavors.

Taste-Testing the Seasonal Flavors

My brother brought back these really cute espresso cups from Italy last year, so I thought they’d be perfect for a festive taste-testing station! The colors are perfect for Spring, aren’t they? The Strawberry Shortcake was off to the side getting brewed up, and I forgot to include it in the picture. Oops!

Dunkin' Donuts Taste Testing

We each tried all three flavors, and everyone definitely has their favorites. Beth and her husband, Mike, really enjoyed the Coconut. They’ve since tried it both hot and iced, and can’t decide which way they like it better. I loved the coconut, but for my morning cup of coffee, I like to cut it with a little regular Dunkin’ Donuts coffee to mellow it out a bit. It’s perfect, though, for that second cup when you want a full flavor experience. I also suggest adding a squirt of chocolate syrup. It’s amazing!!

Sal is a huge fan of the Strawberry Shortcake, and went through our entire bag in less than a week. Ever since the party, he’s had it pretty much exclusively. It’s funny because he’s usually a Coconut fan, but while he did like that flavor, he went nuts for the Strawberry Shortcake. I also enjoy that flavor, particularly iced!

The Triple Berry was the big surprise for me. I’ll admit, I never thought I’d like coffee mixed with fruit flavors so much. I’ve had a few before, and they were okay, but nothing that I sought out. I was so apprehensive about the Wild Berry because I was afraid I wouldn’t like it and then wouldn’t be able to find something good to say about it. Well, huge surprise, it’s my favorite! Especially iced!! It’s a lot more mellow of a flavor than you’d expect. While you can definitely taste the berry, it’s not really an overwhelming flavor sensation.

Each of the flavors invokes a different Spring and Summer sensation. The Coconut reminds me of sitting on the beach reading my favorite book. Strawberry Shortcake makes me think of all the great outdoor parties to come. Triple Berry is all about being lazy on my deck (probably reading, because that’s my favorite summer activity). These flavors will definitely get you in the mood for the upcoming seasons! You’ll have to snag them now, though, because they’re limited editions!

I made the Iced Coffee recipe included with my party kit in all three flavors. Again, the Triple Berry is my favorite. Strawberry Shortcake also rocks as an iced-coffee. If you’d like to try out the recipe, here it is:

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup of your favorite flavor of Dunkin’ Donuts ground coffee
  • 3 cups cold water, divided
  • 1/3 cup sugar (I used Splenda, and cut that amount down to 2 tablespoons)
  • 1/3 cup half-and-half ( I used fat-free)

Directions:

  • Brew the coffee in your coffee maker using the ground coffee and half of the water.
  • Combine the hot coffee with sugar and half-and-half in a pitcher. Mix in the rest of the cold water.
  • Chill until it’s to your preferred temperature.
  • Enjoy! This makes enough for 4 servings.

Tips: If you’re making it in a huge pitcher, I highly suggest not using your Keurig machine. It took me 20 minutes to brew enough cups to fill my gallon pitcher! If you like stronger coffee, use 1 full cup of the ground coffee. When I make it by the gallon, I use a bit of non-fat milk along with the fat-free half-and-half, just to cut down on the calories a bit more.

Have you tried the Dunkin’ Donuts seasonal coffee flavors yet? What’s your favorite? If you haven’t tried them, which one would you like to try the most?
