We’re huge Mickey Mouse fans here, so I was thrilled to receive a copy of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: The Quest for the Crystal Mickey, which releases onto DVD on May 21, 2013.
It’s the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, come inside…I don’t know the rest of the words. My son sings it all the time, but when I hear it, my mind automatically goes to M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E! Mickey Mouse Clubhouse has changed so much from when I was little, and so have the adventures! Mickey and the whole crew are always off on some sort of daring quest these days.
This time, in The Quest for the Crystal Mickey, the whole clubhouse is at stake! When the crystal Mickey vanishes, Mickey and Pals have to find it and bring it back. If they don’t, the clubhouse will lose its magic! What’s a magical clubhouse without, well, magic, right?
Guess who took the Crystal Mickey? Why, that nasty Plunderin’ Pete, of course! Will Pete never learn? Why is he always picking on poor Mickey? Those two have a history going back to the days of Oswald the Rabbit I think! Fortunately, the heroic “Kansas City Mickey” will help save the day!
Jacob is a huge fan of Indiana Jones and that sort of adventure story (the Lego version, though, he hasn’t seen the actual movies yet). He also loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. The Quest for the Crystal Mickey is perfect for him because it has all the adventure of those types of movies without the scary parts.
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: The Quest for the Crystal Mickey Features
In addition to the title episode, kids will also enjoy the additional adventure-themed episodes. These include:
- Donald of the Desert
- Donald the Genie
- Goofy’s Coconutty Monkey
- Goofy’s Giant Adventure
Altogether, there’s about 2 hours of content. The really cool thing, though (aside from the episodes) is the accompanying map and stickers. Jacob is all about treasure maps these days! After your kids watch the feature episode, they can reenact it or create their own epic adventure! It’s a great way to get them active after and inspire them to use their imaginations.
Grab your copy of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: The Quest for the Crystal Mickey on May 21, 2013 at any major video retailer!
Fun Quest for the Crystal Mickey Printable Activities
Take the adventure even further with these fun printable activities! Kids can play Bingo, color their favorite characters, travel through a maze, and even create their very own Crystal Mickey! Enjoy!!
My kids love this DVD. We watch it very often. The stickers were pretty neat, too.
I think my son has watched it like 4 times since he got it. It’s such a fun movie!
