When it comes Jacob and any sort of edible substance, life can be challenging. To say he’s a picky eater would be an understatement. I know some people say “oh, my kid is the pickiest ever!” Well, I hate to be a one-upper, but my kid is such a picky eater, I actually had an Early Intervention Program occupational therapist come give him therapy once a week to get him to move beyond baby food. He was two and a half at the time and still eating stage 2 baby food! He was about three when he finally started eating more foods.

Jacob is eight now, and his diet is still pretty limited. I don’t know if the fact that he has ankyloglossia (the medical term for tongue-tied, his frenulum is attached close to the front of his mouth), or if he’s just a stubborn eater. I was always picky too (still am!), so maybe it’s a little of both and a little bit hereditary. The thing is, even though he’s quite healthy, I still worry that he’s missing out on certain nutrients. Vitamins need to be part of his healthy routine.

Now, when it comes to anything that Jacob thinks might be medicine or medical related, forget it. Yes, I know vitamins aren’t technically medicine, but to him they might as well be. In all these years, I’ve found one brand that he will eat. One. That’s it. Until now. He actually loves the L’il Critters Gummy Vites! Thank goodness, because if he didn’t, I was going to feel really guilty about this review!

Please don’t ask what is up with that facial expression. I’ve given up on trying to figure out where my son comes up with these faces!

What Jacob loved about the L’il Critters Gummy Vites

The main appeal for Jacob was the fact that the L’il Critter Gummy Vites are, as the name implies, gummies. He’s a big fan of gummy stuff. I was surprised that it didn’t even take much begging and bribing to get him to try them! He simply said “sure!” Then he asked for more. He was a little disappointed to find that he is limited to two a day. He likes the taste and the texture, which is a major win!

What I love about L’il Critters Gummy Vites

Obviously, I love that my son loves them, which makes giving him his vitamins a whole lot easier. I also love that they’re a complete multivitamin, providing vital nutrients such as Vitamins A, B,C, D and E. The coloring is made from plants and vegetables- no artificial dyes. Just good supplements that we both love!
