I received a complimentary copy of Phineas & Ferb: Mission Marvel in exchange for an honest review.
In what has to be the most brilliant cross-over ever (according to my son anyway) Phineas & Ferb: Mission Marvel brings together two of your child’s favorite things: the awesome cast of Phineas & Ferb and the dynamic Marvel super heroes! After Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s latest “-inator” scheme accidentally removes the powers of some very well-known Marvel Super Heroes, the heroes enter the world of Danville and team up with Phineas and Ferb to relocate their powers, defeat the Marvel Super Villains and save Danville from ultimate destruction! Expect to see all your favorite heroes, including Spiderman, the Hulk, Iron-Man and Thor! Of course, a few villains have to show up for the ride too, right? How about Red Skull, MODOK, Whiplash and Venom (one of Jake’s all-time favorite bad guys)?
What makes Phineas & Ferb: Mission Marvel the crossover to end all crossovers?
Seriously? Do you even have to ask? I mean, think about it! As far as kid’s shows go, they really don’t make them much more awesome than Phineas & Ferb. The show has a secret agent Platypus, for crying out loud! Where else are you going to find that? Factor in all the Marvel comic superheroes and it takes the brilliance level from shining to “wow, that sun is bright!” Okay, so I’m a bit of a Marvel fangirl. What can I say? They make the best superheroes!
Jacob was so excited to watch Phineas & Ferb: Mission Marvel that he even went so far as to ignore the requests coming in to join an XBOX live party. Considering that these days his favorite thing in the world is to come home and hop online with his cousin, this is major. I give him down-time after school to relax and be a kid before doing his homework. He used that down-time to watch as much of the DVD as possible. I asked him what he thought of it and he said it was AWESOME! Not just awesome, mind you, but all caps AWESOME. He’s a kid of few words these days, but he does get his point across!
In addition to the title episode, Phineas & Ferb: Mission Marvel also includes the following episodes:
- “Fly on the Wall”
- “Sidetracked (Part 1 and 2)”
- “Primal Perry (Part 1 and 2)”
- “Backyard Hodge Podge”
- “Where’s Pinky”
- Knot My Problem/Mind Share”
Want to hear something else really cool? Each DVD comes with one of three special posters! You won’t know which one you’re getting until you open it up, but I guarantee it will be cool.
Phineas & Ferb: Mission Marvel is available in retailers nationwide and on Amazon! This would make the perfect holiday gift for a Phineas & Ferb fan in your life!
