I received complimentary aromatherapy bath products from Calgon, Body Fantasies and Designer Imposters to facilitate this review. All opinions, of course, are my own.
Have you ever had just one incredibly stressful month? I’m talking the kind of month that has you pretty much ready to head to a padded room just to escape. THAT has been my month. As you may know, I’m getting a partial hysterectomy next month. So I have that weighing on my mind. It’s just in time too, because my most recent period was enough to make me want to claw my eyes out in pain.
Then I had to do the Easter Bunny set at my local mall. While that’s usually stressful on its own because I work like 80 hours weeks between that and my regular job, this season was particularly horrible. So horrible that I actually punched a wall! Me, the most timid, non-violent girl I know, actually punched AND kicked a wall. So you know it had to be pretty bad.
How to relax with aromatherapy goodness after you punch and kick a wall
After that particular night, I was so happy to come home and relax in a hot bath for so long that my skin turned into a prune. I needed it. See, since I rarely (as in never) actually hit walls, I apparently don’t know how to do it the right way, so I hurt myself. Why do people hit hard surfaces when they are mad? It doesn’t make you feel any better!
Anyway, so I came home and spent a long time soaking in a luxurious bath filled with Calgon’s Japanese Blossom Bubble Bath. When I got out, I slathered on some of their skin-softening body cream, then finished off with a spritz of body spray. I felt so much more relaxed afterward!
I also received a variety of other Calgon aromatherapy goodies, including my personal favorite, Hawaiian Ginger. I love showering with that scent’s body wash in the morning because citrus scents really help wake me up. They also make me feel so much cheerier, something I’ve really needed the last few weeks!
Immerse yourself in your favorite scents for less
Aside from the amazing line of Calgon products that I received (including Lavender Vanilla, which is great for winding down after a long day), I also received Body Fantasies and Designer Imposters fragrances. For Body Fantasies, I got Japanese Cherry Blossom and Sunrise Sweet body mists. Both are so feminine and delightful. My favorites, though, are the Designer Imposters. The Wanna Play? smells just like Clinique’s Happy and the Swept Away smells exactly like Victoria Secret’s Love Spell (one of my all-time favorite scents).
I love the body sprays because I can spray in on my hair, clothes and skin. It ends up lasting longer that way in my opinion. Plus, when you’re working 80 hours a week, sometimes you end up with no clean work shirts. That spray comes in super handy during those times. Don’t judge, you know you’ve done it too!
All three products are the perfect way to pamper yourself when you’re going through a stressful time. Of course, you don’t need to be stressed out to enjoy these products! I love using them every day. Still, they do make you feel better on those days that you are so mad you want to beat up buildings. Find all three at national retailers near you.
