I consider myself pretty low maintenance when it comes to skin care and cosmetics. I stick to a particular brand of department store makeup because it does well with my skin. A couple purchases a year and I’m good to go. I still use a simple oil free acne cleanser in the morning and night because even in my 30’s I’m still prone to a break out here and there. I’m the mother of three children under the age of 5, and my youngest will be a year next month. I don’t get a lot of time to focus on myself, so I consider this a pretty good routine.
Lately I’ve felt like my face looks tired now matter how much time I spend on makeup or moisturizing. I don’t really know where to start with a skin care regimen outside of what I’m currently doing. When I asked a friend of mine when I should start using any type of skin cream she replied, “About 10 years ago.” Well, I guess I missed the boat on that one.
Treat Your Skin to Amarte Super Hydrating Collection Set
Amarte is a luxury skincare line that is based on eastern skin care philosophy and western dermatology. It first debuted in Korea in 2001 and has recently launched in the United States. The company aims to provide high quality and effective skin care by combining eastern and western elements. All products are tested, approved, and recommended by a board certified dermatologist and president of Amarte, Dr. Craig Kraffert. In addition to this, all products are formulated in Korea using A-grade botanical ingredients.
The Amarte Super Hydrating Collection Set I received for review was created for dry, dehydrated, sun damaged and mature skin. It uses botanicals like argan oil, acacia collagen, and mushroom extracts to help your skin feel soft and hydrated.
This set uses four products with specific benefits to each. The first of which is the Daily ExfoliPowder which is a cleanser used to polish and exfoliate. This is product unlike anything I’ve ever used before. It begins as a powder, and once you add it to your wet hands and face you work it into a lather to help wash away dead skin. It leaves my skin feeling soft, clean, and hydrated.
Next is the Aqua Veil Hydrator that is a serum used to firm, plump, and smooth skin. It includes 8 botanical antioxidants to brighten and rejuvenate. A little goes a long way with this lightweight gel, and I really loved its light cucumber scent. It leaves my skin feeling moisturized without feeling the least bit greasy.
This is then followed by the Hydrolift Cream, which contains .6% retinol to help diminish fine lines and smooth the skin. Again this cream is lightweight, non-greasy, and has a nice light scent.
The fourth product in the Amarte Super Hydrating Collection Set is the Wonder Cream. This cream is described as a multi-tasking moisturizer with both anti-aging and rejuvenating ingredients that help diminish fine lines, wrinkles, sunspots, and freckles. It also contains 1% retinol.
Amarte clearly includes the correct order for a morning and evening regimen when using this set. I was initially concerned that by layering each cream I would run into breakouts or left feeling like my skin was greasy and weighed down, and this wasn’t the case at all. My face is soft and hydrated and at the end of the day it even seems less oily than usual.
The Amarte Super Hydrating Collection is available as a set or each product can be purchased individually. With Mother’s Day around the corner this would be a wonderful way for mom to pamper herself long after May 10th has come and gone.
