Target is one of my favorite places to shop. It’s so bright and cheery, plus they have pretty much everything I need, including great snacks! With back to school season coming up fast, I’ve been stocking up like crazy not just on snacks for my son, but also on quick “pick me ups” for myself.
Finding Perfect Snacks on the go at Target
Talk about needing a quick pick-me-up! The day I went to Target was a looong day. I didn’t sleep well at all the night before, then I got up super early (for me on vacation, anyway). My car needed an inspection. I thought for sure it also needed new back brakes, tires and who knows what else! Usually inspection time is a nightmare for me.
My mechanic was super busy, but he squeezed me in. I’m a good customer. With an old car, I always need stuff fixed! I was amazed when he said it didn’t need anything aside from a leak in the tire fixed. Just the cost of the inspection and I was out the door. Wow!
Sal was with me, and we had a lot of running around to do. My best friend had her baby the other day. I wanted to stop by the hospital and see her again. Plus I had to run to Target for various back to school stuff for Jake.
By the time we hit Target, I was starving. All I had all morning was a really gross Icee from the ice-cream stand near my mechanic. We walked over while I was waiting for my car. It was either that or candy from the massive candy store across the street. I thought the Icee would be better. I picked the wrong flavor. Bah.
So anyway, we got to Target and it was pouring! Thankfully, the real storm waiting until we were inside. It was so loud it sounded like millions of imps dancing on the roof! The ZonePerfect® bars were on the top of my list, so I headed there first.
Finding ZonePerfect® at Target was pretty easy. In my store, they’re over by the pharmacy. You’ll find them in the section with other types of meal-replacement and protein bars. It was the first place I looked. Target always puts things in logical places (like the Fluff with the peanut butter, super smart, Target!).
Wow, the selection! I had such a hard time choosing which flavor to get. They had so many amazing varieties, plus a few great selections for kids! I ended up getting the Salted Caramel Brownie because, hello, salted caramel + brownie = super yum!
Starvation averted, Sal and I were able to continue on our super busy day. Now, I’m all about the chocolaty goodness, but if you prefer something a little more naked, you can also grab Perfectly Simple™ at Target. They’re ZonePerfect® pared down to the simplest form.
Right now, if you purchase 3 ZonePerfect® products from Target, you can get a $5 Target Gift card. Considering how much back to school shopping I still have left to do, that’s fantastic news to me.
What ZonePerfect® flavor would you grab first? Tell me in the comments!

All the flavors sound delicious! I also think Target is super good at placing things in logical places. It really drives me up the wall when I go to other stores that aren’t logically laid out. It’s like, “Hello, are you trying to make it impossible for me to find stuff to buy?”
I wish I lived closer to a Target. And I love how they even have Zone snacks for kids. What a great idea!
