As summer tapers off the mornings are starting to cool down around here. The first thing my kids do when they wake up is head downstairs and burrow under a blanket to keep warm while they watch a show. Their Comfy Critters have found a new home snuggled up with them on these chilly mornings.
Comfy Critters Huggable Blankets for Kids
Note: We received complimentary Comfy Critters in exchange for an honest review.
Comfy Critters were developed in 2011 under the parent company Infinity Product Group. Their Huggable Hooded Blankets are a blanket, pillow, and soft plush character all built into one. They are made from super soft chenille fleece and are machine washable. Fully extended the blanket portion measures 4 feet by 3 feet but it can also be folded and stuffed completely into the hood.
The shark and unicorn Comfy Critters were a big hit with my kids ages 4 and 6. They really like how they can curl up inside of them with the hooded animal portion over their heads and basically disappear. Even if they don’t follow the recommended folding technique perfectly, they are able to get the blanket tucked into the hood securely with the Velcro tabs located in two locations. We all like how soft they are, and I’m certainly on board with the fact that they are machine washable. Each one has some fun additional features on the back of the hood like shark fins and silly bright pink fur.
I’m thinking the Comfy Critters will be great to have on hand now that the kids are a little older and have outgrown traditional baby blankets. They’ve been the perfect blankets for snuggling up under or running around the house while my kids wear them and let their imaginations fly. The Comfy Critter’s ability to roll up to a more compact size makes them a convenient product to have on hand for overnights or long trips in the car as well.
Comfy Critters currently come in 8 different animals in varying colors. They are currently $24.99 each with free shipping on all U.S. orders.
