You may have seen Playmobil toys on store shelves or perhaps your kids already own some of their own. Maybe you even played with a few yourself as a kid. That’s right, Playmobil has been around since 1971! Over 2 billion of their figures have been produced since then in over 30 different themes. They come in a wide variety of professions and talents. Whether it is a pirate, fairy, hiker, photographer, princess, or doctor, there is something for everyone!

Playmobil School Bus and Take Along School House Playsets

Playmobil’s imaginative toys have been recognized by parents and educators for their quality and long lasting materials. They strive to create fun toys that promote child development while also remaining safe. In doing this, they go beyond industry safety requirements.

The Playmobil School Bus Playset is a new product in their City Life theme category. It comes with:

• 1 school bus
• 4 figures including bus driver and 3 students
• 3 student backpacks

Lights flash on the front and back of this bright yellow bus with an easy push button on the top. There is a stop sign on the side (for safety of course) and removable roof that make it easy for children to place and remove the figures. My kids really got a kick out of this bus. It rolls smoothly across the floor with actual rubber wheels and the students can easily be stored in their seats when not in use. There is nothing about this toy that appears cheaply made, and I like that it’s something that they will be able to play with for a long time.

The Playmobile Take Along School House is a great playset to accompany the school bus. It’s a two-piece structure that can come apart completely or remain connected on one side and open like a book. There are easy carrying handles on top too. Say your little one is headed to their grandparents for a night or two and want to take something along, this is an easy toy to take.

• bike with bike rack

As you can see, there are quite a few more pieces to the Take Along School House. If you have little toddlers, this is not for them. On the other hand, my 5 and 7 year old really enjoyed setting up the pieces in the classroom and role playing with the figures.

There is a little more set up involved in the Take Along School House, but like the school bus, everything appears to be sturdy plastic that will hold up well to kids. The accessories are pretty cute too. One of the kids can ride their bike to school and leave it outside on the bike stand! How awesome is that?!

Both the Playmobil School Bus and Take Along School House are ideal for boys and girls. They are two pretty nice all-in-one playsets. While everything is included and there is no need to purchase additional pieces, you can find a huge assortment of figures to add to them. There’s even a school band!
