If you’re like most people, chances are you made a New Year’s Resolution to eat healthier this year. Hey, we all do it, right? Chances are also pretty good that, like most people, your resolve is dissolving with each passing day, especially as we’re heading into the heart of another sweet treat season. Guess what? You can keep your resolutions and still eat sweet, tasty treats thanks to Wonderful Halos! I partnered with them to bring you an awesome prize package filled with free coupons, a super cute craft, cool recipes, an adorable bowl and more…all bundled up in a fun reusable container! Read on for a chance to win!
Wonderful Halos are on of my family’s favorite citrusy treat. Way back when my mom broke her leg when Jake was 3, the two of them would sit on her bed eating Halos together. Even at three, Jake could easily peel off the skin. Jake eats very few citrus fruits these days (I can’t tell if he’s getting pickier as he gets older or expanding his palate but eliminating old favorites), but he still loves Halos.
My Halos package came at the height of my cold bug. I’ve been sick for the last two weeks, but that first weekend it felt more like the flu than a cold (it wasn’t, just a rotten rhinovirus). Whenever I’m sick, I crave citrus more than ever. It’s just a comfort thing. I can’t say I felt instantly better or anything, but I did feel happier with my Halos mandarins. Citrus flavors always make me feel perkier. Plus they make me think of the commercials for Halos, which always make me laugh! This one is my favorite right now:
