Whether you just want to remember that trip to the ocean (ahh vacation here I come) or want to escape into a sea of bubbles and color, these books below are a great way destress! Check them out!

Ocean-Themed Adult Coloring Books (Updated for 2022)

I’m actually in the process of updating all of my original adult coloring books posts. So even if you’ve already checked them all out, keep an eye out for more ideas.

1. Lost Ocean

From the same illustrator who created Enchanted Forest and Secret Garden, Lost Ocean is a fantastic coloring book that tops the best seller lists! This book is yet another gorgeous journey, this time underwater to beautiful designs full of whales, dolphins, coral and all kids of ocean life. If you’re looking for a gorgeous book that will keep you coloring for days on end, these intricate pages are the ones you want!

2. Ocean Wonders Color Art For Everyone

If you like to color lots of patterns, then the Ocean Wonders Color Art For Everyone book is one you should try! This book features twenty four designs that are all on one side of the perforated pages. The images which include sea life animals and other oceanscapes (such as boats!) This book takes images and repeats them over and over to make full page patterned pictures, so kind of a cross between coloring a picture and coloring a mandala.  This is a great book for beginners!

3. Color Me Mindful: Underwater

Are you ready to slip into a state of mindfulness? These fun designs on Color Me Mindful: Underwater filled with fish, turtles, coral and more! This book includes fifty designs, but images are double sided and not perforated to remove. This is a good book to use colored pencils with!

4. Creative Haven Seascape

Creative Haven never disappoints when it comes to great adult coloring books, and the Creative Haven Seascape book doesn’t disappoint! Explore nature’s underwater gorgeousness and find unique sealife including blue sharks, moon jellies and even diving penguins. This is more of an all ages book, but adults will love delving into the flowing illustrations. This book includes thirty-one images, and you can color with colored pencils, pens, markers or almost any coloring implement as pages are thick and single sided.

5. Coral Reef Coloring Book

Looking for a book full of more accurate pictures of reeds, fish and corals? The Coral Reef Coloring Book from Dover Publications will give you such a pretty glimpse into the world underwater. Expect these forty-seven pages to have lots of detail work, and this book is best colored with pencils but produces lovely images.

6. Inky Ocean

Inky Ocean is a fun but very detailed fantasy style book Stocked full of fifty one designs; between the pages you’ll find seashells, bubbles, mermaids and whale. Expect a mix of real and mythical in this book. Pages are double sided, but very relaxing patterns!

7. National Geographic Magnificent Ocean

Take the beautiful nature images from National Geographic and add them in as coloring book images and what do you get? National Geographic Magnificent Ocean is ready for your colored pencils. These images seem like they truly are edited from National Geographic Images so expect lots of details, but it truly makes a great gift!

8. Color & Frame – Ocean Treasure

With thicker-than-average pages and one-sided designs, everything about this ocean-themed coloring book screams “frame me,” and not in the criminal sense of the word. The Color & Frame Ocean Treasure book comes with 31 different soothing beachy designs that will help wash away all of your stress.

11. Mermaids – Calm Ocean Coloring Collection 

If you’re new to adult coloring and love all things fantasy-related, this is a great started book. Not so much because of the pictures themselves, which are very beautifully detailed, but because you get two copies of every design. That way, you can experiment with colors and mediums with one, then color a frame-worthy version of the other.
