I love my dogs. I really, really do. They are my furry four-legged children! They bring me immeasurable joy every single day and I can’t imagine life without them. You know what I CAN imagine living without, though? Stinky dog breath!

Here’s the thing: my dogs are still pretty young (technically puppies!) and we take good care of their teeth. We feed them a high-quality diet and give them plenty of chews to keep their chompers clean. Their bad breath has nothing to do with their health and everything to do with their thieving ways. See, not only do they both steal the cat’s food if we so much as blink when the cats are eating, but they also steal what later comes OUT of the cats! Mocha in particular is a litter box raider extraordinaire. Neither dog will let me get into their mouth to brush their teeth. You should see the way they freak out when I try to brush their fur! I can’t imagine they’ll be much happier with me sticking my hands in their mouth. I’ll let the vet do that at their checkups. In the meantime, I have Ark Naturals Breath-Less Brushless Toothpaste from Chewy.com!
Why Ark Naturals Breath-Less Brushless Toothpaste for Dogs?
Even if your dogs let you brush their teeth, chances are they’re still getting into something that gives them dreaded doggy breath. I could manage to lock up my litter box and they’d still find something gross to eat. Garbage, dirt, cat hair balls: you name it, my dogs will eat it. I’m not kidding. They even eat mud! Who does that?
What’s a dog mom to do? Try Ark Naturals Breath-Less Brushless Toothpaste! Unlike other dental chews, Ark Naturals actually has a patented doggy-safe toothpaste in the middle to help fight tartar, plaque, and other nasty buildup that can contribute to bad breath. The fresh cinnamon, clovers and vanilla on the outside not only make them taste yummy for pups, but also help cut down on bacteria and sweeten your pooch’s kisses.
My dogs couldn’t wait to try out their new treats. Literally. They were pacing around while I took pictures, getting really annoyed with me. Both dogs seemed to love Ark Naturals Breath-less Brushless Toothpaste dog chews. I know what you’re thinking: they’re dogs and it’s a treat, so of course they seemed to love it. So not true. Freya is kind of picky and rejects quite a few treats. I bought them some salmon biscuits that ended up going to the raccoons. My logic was that if the dogs love to steal fishy food and treats from the cats so much, they’d love salmon-flavored dog biscuits. Apparently, I was wrong.
Even Mocha can be picky at times. She’s an incredibly slow and dainty eater. I’ve never had a dog that took her time with food as much as Mocha does. I actually have to separate the two so Mocha can enjoy her treat, otherwise Freya will gobble down hers and go for Mocha’s. If your dog is a gobbler, you can freeze the Brushless Toothpaste chews to help slow them down. As for their breath, let’s just say their kisses didn’t send me running for the hills.
You’ll find Ark Naturals Brushless Toothpaste for all dog sizes at Chewy.com. I need to say, I have a mad sort of love for Chewy. They have outstanding customer service and fantastic prices. If you order $49 or more (which we always do because I buy my cat and dog food from them, as well all of my guinea pigs’ needs), your order ships free. My dogs know what the Chewy box looks like and they get super excited when it arrives.
