With Valentine’s Day approaching fast and all the spring holidays right around the corner, I bet you’re looking for the perfect meaningful gift to give that special someone! Sure, you could give a card, but I have an even better idea! Give a gift that lasts a lifetime, instead. Everything Grows With Love is a gorgeous book filled with incredibly beautiful words and inspiring thoughts. It was created by Flow Magazine, the same people who brought you one of my all-time favorite mindfulness books: The Book that Takes Its Time.
What Makes Everything Grows with Love so special?
If you’re a quote lover like me, the answer is pretty evident. Everything Grows With Love is filled to the brim with almost 400 pages of beautiful quotes and inspirational sayings. Take a peek inside, then I’ll tell you more about it! Just click on “preview” to get a close-up look of the Kindle version.
While the Kindle version is nice to keep for when you want to pull out your phone and read a quick inspirational quote, the paperback version is definitely the one you want for gifting. It’s a chunky little book, measuring at just over 4″x4″, making it perfect for tucking in a purse and pulling out when you need a bit of inspiration. Flow is a magazine that takes its time, and Everything Grows With Love inspires you to sit back, relax, and just ponder the deeper meaning behind the beautifully illustrated quotes, like one of my favorites: “All the flowers of all the tomorrows are in the seeds of today.”
Think about that for a moment. Everything beautiful in this world stems from the actions that we take today. We are the seeds. Here’s another example that I love: “Everything you can imagine is real.” Picasso said that, and it’s always been one of my favorite quotes. I love seeing it come to life with such darling illustrations!
While many of the quotes in Everything Grows With Love are perfect for mindfulness moments and meditations, some are very simple (yet equally powerful) statements. For example, “Think Happy Thoughts” is a reminder to be more positive!
The entire book is a gentle and stunning reminder to relish the small moments in life, to be more present and appreciate the beauty in both the world and the people around you. It’s a message that we can all use. I know I spend way too much time focusing on the negatives. I need a push sometimes to get outside of my own head and really look around me. There’s so much beauty everywhere if you just take a moment to really look.
Every quote in the book has something to do with love, but they’re not all about romantic love. You’ll find meaningful and inspirational quotes and sayings about love from a family member, pets, and even yourself. All of the quotes are beautifully illustrated by 20 different talented artists. I like to randomly open the book up and see what message the “universe” has for me. A moment ago, I turned to page 107 and found this: “Everything will be okay in the end. If it’s not okay, it’s not the end.” Definitely something that I need to hear just about every day!
The perfect alternative to a traditional card!
Everything Grows with Love is perfect for gifting on Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, birthdays, engagements, or even just a little “thinking of you” gift. Pretty much any occasion that you would buy a card for! At just $9.95 MSRP, it makes an affordable alternative to a traditional card. Think about it: you typically spend around $5 on a decent card these days, right? For a few dollars more, you can give a gift that won’t end up in the recycling bin within a week.
Everything Grows with Love is edited by the co-founders and creative directors of Flow Magazine, Irene Smit and Astrid Van der Hulst. It retails for $9.95 and is available wherever books are sold. Flow will continue working with Workman Publishing to bring us more mindful books, beautiful calendars, and other works that encourage us to take our time, so keep an eye out!
