Smallfoot is BIG Fun for the Whole Family!

I remember seeing the trailer for Smallfoot when we saw Hotel Transylvania 3 in theaters and thinking how insanely cute it looked. I love the idea of a Yeti questioning the existence of humans the way we question their existence. I love stories that turn the tables on a myth in a whimsical way!

According to the movie’s website:

“News of the ‘smallfoot’ throws the simple yeti community into an uproar over what else might be out there int he big world beyond their snowy village, in an all new story about friendship, courage and the joy of discovery.”

Smallfoot isn’t just big fun, it’s also filled with some really big names lending their voices to the characters, including Channing Tatum as Migo, the Yeti who discovers Percy (voiced by James Corden). Danny DeVito lends his voice to Dorgle, Migo’s devoted father. Patricia Heaton, LeBron James,and many other popular actors also help bring to life a ton of vibrant, fabulous characters.

Everything about this movie is absolutely wonderful, from the sweet characters to the stunning animation. I absolutely love movies that take place in frozen, snowy landscapes. I wish I could move into the Yeti Village above the clouds!

The entertaining flick also has a lot of heart and strong messages about believing in yourself, as well as not letting others tell you what you should believe in! See, after Migo discovers proof of humans, he tries to let his other Yeti friends and family in on the big secret.

Unfortunately, the evidence vanishes and the others don’t believe him. They only believe in what’s written in stone (literally, they have Stones that tell them what’s what and how to live). Poor Migo gets tossed out of his village for daring to say that these Stones could possibly be wrong!

Fortunately, Migo finds other open-minded Yetis, included his secret crush, Meechee . Together, they go in search of Percy so they can prove once and for all that there is a whole world beyond their cloud village. I don’t want to give anything away, but what follows is both a fun heartwarming adventure and a great lesson about not letting others pressure you into staying true to yourself.
